Inflated Joy: Artwork, Art Classes and Journals

I spent 15 great years working in the commercial photography and production industry when I realized my heart was leading me in a new direction. I want to do something that inspires joy and has greater meaning beyond myself. For the past 4 years I've worked as an artist creating art for children's rooms and general commissioned work. During this tim

e I fell in love with combining my artistic skills and creativity with teaching. My passion is to encourage children, tweens and teens to be confident, happy individuals with strong communication skills. I use art as a tool to help convey confidence and strength while accepting the range of emotions and trials of life. Inflated Joy became the name of my company the moment I heard an amazing little boy, who is on the autism spectrum, shout it out during an I AM NOTICED class. "INFLATED JOY!!!"

Amy Johnson, founder of The Noticed Network, and I have joined forces to create I AM NOTICED. Amy is a motivational speaker and a Certified Coach & Self-Talk Trainer. Her goal is to educate and inspire people to celebrate themselves and to share that gift by celebrating and Noticing goodness in the lives of people around them. I AM NOTICED combines my "I AM" art class with her powerful messages of worthiness and being noticed. We love collaborating and share so many magical moments with the people who experience our workshop. Our content is genuinely impactful and essential. This was validated when the same darling boy who shouted out "INFLATED JOY" during our session ended our time together by saying "I know everyone in this room has had a life changing experience". I'm honored to partner with the fabulous Amy Johnson. We plan to extend our program as far as it will reach. We have big plans to continue implementing this workshop to our community, surrounding programs and schools. Inflated Joy summarizes my goals. I want to inflate joy by teaching and inspiring. I love to paint and create but I know my heart craves working with people and spreading joy. I offer private art lessons for youth + small group lessons. Any class I teach will use art as a tool to build character, confidence and creativity. Art is such a wonderful way to communicate our feelings and help us get to know our true self. It breaks down boundaries and allows a special bond between my audience and me. I've created the "YOU ARE AMAZING, A Journal for YOU". This journal explores all the areas I'm passionate about. Journal pages include a journey of creative ways a person can create, color and learn about her or himself. I’m also in the process of illustrating a children’s book written by my dear friend Amy Johnson. I'm so excited for this story. Check back soon for details. My inspiration comes from my students and my two adorable children. Kora is 12 and Liam is 9. They are a blast and I love them beyond measure. I’m so blessed to have a supportive and loving husband, amazing family and wonderful friends. I cherish all of these areas in my life. Our Story

INJOY: Private Art Lessons, Journals, Workshops and Art My passion is to help people find their JOY and to BE it, LOVE it and SPREAD it.

​5 years ago I began a journey using my passion for people and art. I found a love for combining my artistic skills with teaching and inspiring positivity. I encouraged people to have INFLATED JOY! Over these years I have learned that the core of my heart lies in the JOY that occurs with IN us! This is the type of joy that I want to celebrate, foster and encourage. I created In Joy, LLC so that I can help kids of all ages to be confident, happy individuals with strong communication skills. I use art as a tool to help convey confidence and strength while accepting the range of emotions and trials of life.

​Urban Dictionary definition: "INJOY is stronger then enjoy. For injoy is more of joy filling you from inside of yourself."

In Joy, LLC. offers private art lessons for students ages 6-18 and positive creative workshops. Lessons and workshops include positivity, self awareness and imagination. The consistent thread among all INJOY classes are the words "I AM". I personally believe what you say after "I AM" is true for you. I use this as a foundation for all lessons. This foundation spreads to other important resilient lessons including mindfulness, self awareness, kindness, mental wellness, self care and growth mindset. Art is such a wonderful way to build character, communicate and celebrate individuality. It is a universal language that breaks down boundaries and allows a special bond between my audience and me. INJOY lessons encourage a creative process and to avoid "perfection".
