Pack Light: Pack only what you truly need and avoid over-packing. Stick to versatile clothing and remember that you can usually do laundry during longer trips. For beach vacations you will spend your time in a bathing suit and cover up for most days with gym attire for excursions. Once you pack, take half of it back out!! And you don't need 5 pairs of shoes!! 😭😭

IT'S NATIONAL TRIVIA DAY..Let's see how close you get!
1. How many tourists went to Cancun, MX in 2024? Almost 17 million.
2. How many tourists flew into Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in 2024? 11 million.
3. What was the average cost of a 5 night stay for 2 people at an all inclusive resort in MX in 2024 without flights? $3200
4. Are travel agents more expensive than Expedia or Sandals? No...might as well give the commission to a local business and someone easy to call with questions or any issues!
5. How many resorts did Pam do site tours of or stay at in 2024? Over 40 (that's a lot of folders with pics and notes)
6. What new destinations is Pam going to in 2025? Good question and I don't have an answer although I have some ideas. What destinations do you want me to check out for you?

OK. Christmas and New Years are now over. So are you needing a vacation now? Whether it's for this winter, summer, or next Christmas, let's get it reserved! The Barcelo is a great option to take high school graduates, or a family trip. There is so much to do on these resorts. Barcelo has 5 family friendly resorts together with the "top" one being the Palace (where you can go to all 5). I've stayed here twice...once in the palace and once in a regular room and honestly the regular room was just fine and you can still go to 4 of the resorts This property is gorgeous with a beautiful beach. Although the ocean is unpredictable and in the summer the sargassum can collect in this area. At this resort you can go bowling, rock climbing, escape room, and a wave runner (these are additional costs). There is an area you can swim with the sea turtles too! About $6000 will get you 5 nights with flights for a family of 4 the end of May into June. It's a great budget vacation option. Email Pam at [email protected].

It's another and today we are talking about Passports! You need a Passport for almost all international travel. If you are cruising roundtrip from a US port, you are only required to travel with a birth certificate and government issued photo ID. However, we always recommend having your Passport book because if there is an emergency and you need to get home sooner, you cannot fly internationally without it. The Passport card is also not valid for air travel, so we always recommend getting the book! Do you have any other Passport tips? Share below!

Hyatt Ziva Cancun. I’ve been able to stay here twice and I still LOVE this resort. Beautiful calm clear beach on one side, crashing waves on the other and amazing food and service. It’s a family resort and excellent for younger kids. But there is an area for adults only with a rooftop pool and bar if your room is in the “turquoise section”. It’s 10 minutes from the airport and not far from the get to go to Isla Mujerus by ferry. For 5 nights middle of May with 2 adults and 2 kids is about $5k plus flights. Honestly I would stay here even without kids in the turquoise section. For two adults it will run about $4600 in the adults section. . Email Pam at [email protected].

We still have a few days of the Black Friday promo so if you have been on the fence let’s get it reserved! This is Dreams Royal (family friendly) in the Dominican Republic. It was completely remodeled a couple years ago and is next to Secrets Royal, which is an adults only resort that adults can use. 6 nights for 2 people with flights in Febr is around $3800. .

If you are thinking of going somewhere this winter let’s start the process of narrowing it down. What happens is a lot of the entry level rooms get taken and only the more expensive rooms are left. Which is no big deal if you want an upgraded room. But if you are on a budget it makes it a lot tougher. I do have a promo right now that will take off up to $600 ( depends on the total pkg cost) if you pay in full. Want beautiful water, great service, good food, and a shorter travel day? Mexico and Jamaica both check those boxes. These 50 mph cold winds make me want a trip on the books! You will never regret going but you might regret not going!! [email protected].

JOIA PARAISO BY IBEROSTAR. That’s is an adults only and about 30 min from the Cancún airport. Definitely a step up from the other Iberostars, but you can walk over there and enjoy all the slides and activities. A 5 night stay for 2 adults will run you around $2800 plus flights. All fully renovated and you have access to 19 different restaurants! Pools are heated and has an onsite golf course. Email Pam at [email protected].

Iberostar Paraiso Maya suites. This resort is part of several resorts and you can go to all of them when staying in this one. The resorts decor is rich in the Mexican Mayan history and you definitely feel like you are on Mexico. So many pools and they are huge with swim up bars. Wave pool, lazy river, water slides, and more!! This is a great option for those with a mid budget. Food is such a subjective thing p but the night we ate at the seafood restaurant was amazing! The beach was pretty rough when I was there but you could still get in but when there aren’t storms out at sea it’s much calmer. They do have a night club, but I will be honest that I never made there late at night…but we heard from several people it was fun. A family of 4 next summer staying 5 nights would be about $3500 plus flights. Email me (Pam) at [email protected].
