As someone guiding tourists, the feeling to satisfy the ones visiting Sintra-Cascais sometimes is biased either in what to show and where to have a nice meal. It is true that a simple digital click offers massive sites where to visit. However in my opinion, this might become a redundancy information for the customers.

Time is an important parameter, that in most cases is negleted by tourists. I recommend a maximum of visiting two-three monuments sites in Sintra, if it is the case. Here are some, suggestions to some attractive sites, that I hope to help achieve the highest expectations, tracking down the ideal and a pleasant tour Sintra-Cascais for about 8 hours.

Quinta da Regaleira - Exploring the gardens, lakes, underground tunnels, the circular Initiation Well and whole the mistic since the Greek ancient times to some features to Portuguese History.

Pena Palace - Discover one of the emblematics and beautiful monuments of Portugal. It has a fantastic panoramic view either from the mountains fading down to the sea. Further to indoors, visitors can walking along its Park to the Chalet of the Countess of Edla and at same time enjoying the gardens and the Little Bird Fountain in a geometric octogonal shape.

Mourish Castle - Explore the site heritage of the Muslim presence in Portugal in 8th to 9th century. The view is astonishing to the Sintra Village and you can climbe along the narrows fortresses wall.

Cape of Rock - It is westernmost point of continental Europe with its cliffs, inspiring a sense of calm and tranquility with an endless sea view. It looks like a pilgrimage where visitors can enjoy this fantastic view

Cascais village - With its beautiful beaches Cascais is the right place to walk by its alleys and shopping some souvenires. It is a vibrant cultural place where you and the last portuguese king (statue) can be looking at the admirable bay.
