Soul Conscious Disseminator: Lets Meet and Start Up an Ongoing Mediation and Reflective Group.

Hello, resident within and outside the Annex Area.

Summer is here! I'm looking to connect with like-minded individuals interested in forming an ongoing Meditation Group that meets bi-weekly or monthly.

The location is yet to be collectively decided on, when I have a small body of individuals who are willing to assist me. Preferably within the Neighbourhood.

Here's a brief overview of my journey and what I have to offer:

___________________________________________________________________________________
Introduction to Spiritual Path:
For a quarter of my life, I've delved into Yoga, exploring my inner self through meditation. This journey revealed my archetypes: the eternal student, Hermit, Dionysian, and Renaissance man.

Initial Awakening:
My spiritual journey began with indifference and sadness, distancing me from societal norms and my true self. Guided by my inner voice, I realigned through ancient Eastern practices.

Brahma Kumaris:
Raja Yoga transformed my consciousness with open-eye meditation, helping me realise my eternal connection to the Supreme Being.

Vipassana Meditation:
Taught by S.N. Goenka, Vipassana meditation highlighted the importance of breath, fostering calmness, patience, and empathy through non-judgmental observation of bodily sensations and thoughts.

The Shambhala Path:
Envisioned by Chogyam Trungpa, this path combined open-eye and insight meditation, teaching me to embrace experiences with compassion and awaken the bodhisattva within.

Independent Studies:
Alongside these practices, I explored mystical traditions, Transpersonal Psychology, Esoteric teachings, Gnostic beliefs, Mystery Cults, Shamanism, and Occult Studies, delving into the mysteries of death.

Challenges After Leaving Raja Yoga:
After leaving the Brahma Kumaris community, I faced challenges in love, work, and finances, leading to a deeper understanding of my mind and resolving internal conflicts.

Reassessment and Higher Education:
Reassessing my experiences during the COVID-19 lockdowns, I pursued higher education at the Institute of Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal, overcoming financial and academic barriers.

Current Role and Future Aspirations:
Nearing the end of my studies, I now apply my teaching skills as a meditation guide, sharing my insights and reaffirming my spiritual traits.

If you're interested in being part of this group, please reach out and email me, @ [email protected]
Let's create a space for collective growth and meditation.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

Best regards,
Vishnu

A Toronto Renaissance Man with an Indo-Caribbean background, here to provide a service with Soul.

Toronto’s Hidden Gems is established and run by Vishnu Satram, a local Renaissance man with an Indo-Caribbean background who’s here to provide his personal brand of service with Soul. Vishnu has attained over 35 years of extensive customer relations experience in the retail, food, entertainment and alternative health industries.

Vishnu lives an alternative lifestyle and believes that one of the key components to living a fulfilling life is to venture outside of one's familiar cultural surroundings. Being open to learning, experiencing and appreciating what other cultures have to offer, helps us to recognize the similarities we all share and have in common.

During the fall of 1974, his family emigrated from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, to start a new chapter of their lives in Toronto. Trinidad stands out among the Caribbean Islands for being the most ethnically diverse. It’s blessed with a rich historical and cultural fusion that is comprised of South-East Asians and Africans who make up its larger population, plus smaller groups of national minorities from other parts of the world such as Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese and Syrian. Each with their own religious practices, ethnic traditions and cuisines, flourishing side by side with a small remaining population of the original Carib inhabitants of Amerindians.

Coming from a richly diverse cultural background from the Island of Trinidad and growing up alongside other immigrants, fueled something deep within Vishnu over the many years to acquire a deep love and appreciation for the older neighbourhoods districts. He values those nostalgic areas of the city with their quaint scenery and landmarks that have retained a rich multicultural heritage. Wherever alternative cultures would spring up in the city they brought forth fresh and vibrant energy, establishing new boutiques and vintage clothing shops, alongside antiques, used bookshops, landmark movie theatres, food markets, emporiums, local pubs and family restaurants, next to a new array of hip cafes and restaurants with an ethnic flair.
