Lovely Melbourne weather today! Hope you are all having a great break or are back to work like I am! (Joanna)! We're looking forward to bigger and better things this year. We are already planning trips and monthly outings to keep us cultured and ALWAYS learning! We would both like to learn piano, and attend theatre and music sessions constantly throughout the year! It's all about being in the present, and I find this one so important ... having something to look forward to! You can find yourself burning out from work, so it makes it a lot easier to have something to look forward to, even if it's a cheap cinema outing on a Tuesday night, or an event to look forward to!

Have a lovely night ❤

Next Wednesday the addresses are released for your closest volunteer house to donate at! I'll be donating this year... will you pitch in a $20 or so and fill up an old handbag of yours? Its SO easy there's really no excuse not to.

If you have any questions feel free to ask us since we did it last year!

Support Aboriginal women in the remote Northern Territory of Jilkminggan and help them launch their own social enterprise. Simply choose any of the items from the list below and bring them into one of the drop off points during March.

Your donation will go toward setting up a pop-up Op-Shop in Jilkminggan, all funds from goods sold will be used to kick-start small businesses focused around sewing and print making, at the newly established Arts Centre.

We really want to gather items that people in the community NEED and LOVE, here are a few tips.

• It gets HOT, really HOT, so we prefer clothing and material made from natural fibres.

• Brightly coloured and bold pattered prints are popular with both men and women.

• Culturally sensitive clothing for women and girls, they love long skirts, loose fitting t-shirts, knee-length shorts, singlets and dresses.

• Men mostly wear long pants, denim jeans, knee-length shorts, buttoned up shirts and loose fitting tees, they love sports wear and polo shirts too!

• Kids clothing, baby goods... new born - teens! Summer styles.

• Sewing materials, fabric, clothing and homewares patterns for sewing.

We are proud to say that we will be supporting Share the Dignity's latest campaign !

If you have a spare handbag lying around, feel free to fill it up with goodies (anything except, alcohol, medications and razors) for a needy woman this Christmas!

Imagine the face of a woman who opens this up on Christmas Day! We would love for all our Teens Who Care supporters to get involved as well!

If you would like to get involved, please comment below and we will be accepting all handbags from the 27th of November to send off. 11th of December is the cut off date, so we will be donating all of them on the 10th of December.

Morning Everyone!

As you all know, Mum and I are both passionate supporters of Kampuchea House! We are super excited to get on board with their next fundraiser which is... A TRIVIA NIGHT! Who doesn't love a trivia night?

We're hoping to win, but I'm sure we will have big competition when we are there. Just wanted to let you all know that if ANY of you are interested in following Kampuchea House's Fundraisers they are simple and easy to get involved in!

We'd love it for more and more people to get involved - it's for a great cause and is a lot of fun on the night!

Here's all the information : TRIVIA NIGHT

Join us for a fun night with legendary trivia master, Kevin McFarlaine. Lots of great prizes to be won!

Welcome vino, delicious dinner of seasonal dips, pasta and salad are all included.

Venue -
GG Restaurant and Wine Bar,
150 Clarendon Street, East Melbourne (opposite the Fitzroy Gardens).

Date: Wednesday 14 October 2015. Time: 7.00pm.

Cost: $85 per person.

We're unsure of how many spots are left for this night, but that can't stop you from coming to the next one! Go over and like the Kampuchea House's page on FB and you'll be in the loop of when the next fundraiser night will be.

I'm sure the next one is already being planned and just around the corner.

Thanks everyone!

Joanna :)

Hi Everyone!

I've attached a photo of Kampuchea House's recent trip to Battambang. We hope they had a great time, and we are so glad the money raised from all of you included in the trip to Cambodia with us, went to such a great cause! All of these children and staff are so deserving of a holiday, and it looks like they had a great time!

Check it out on their FB page @ Kampuchea House.
