Cenotes are sinkholes formed by the collapse of limestones exposing underground water. They are usually associated with the Yucatán peninsular in Mexico and according to my tour guide, there are about 10,000 of them scattered all around the region. I originally planned to take a plunge in the one we visited until he said it was 45 meters deep 😳😳😳. And you’ll be swimming at your risk 😰😰😰. Instead I found solace in watching others cool off. After all, I don’t have to worry about my hair getting wet and smelly 😁...

Because it’s and Mexico wasn’t that long ago...
Mexico is the first new country I’m visiting this year (hoping to add more countries to the list this year) and I spent most of my time trying out all the tacos I could lay my hands on (fish, shrimp, beef, chicken, pork...I had it all) and learning a little bit about Mayaland as proven by this cheesy photo I took here at Chichen Itza.

Behind this cheesy smile lies a very exhausting backstory that includes 7 hours of driving, 1 hour minimum waiting time to go on a ride 😡, Hunger strike, bickering and arguments, a lost rental car 😩 and an annoying response when trying to order takeout☹️😕😩😂. But hey, I made it to Disney world!!!💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

A visit to South Florida is incomplete without a stop at The Everglades.
We (me and bae) were initially going to catch the tour from Miami, a 45 minutes to an hour drive from Fort Lauderdale. Thank God for the kind Uber driver who was nice enough to explain to us that it didn’t make sense to go all the way to Miami when the tour would be taking off from the Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale (talk about the importance of locals).
About 2 hours later, I was happy to be in one piece after annoying a few Alligators on our boat ride. Apparently, they make you since an indemnity aka your death warrant. After all, nobody sent you to go and be chasing Alligators for $68 when you can chase lizards in your compound free of charge.

I took my third trip to Kenya in May and as always like my two previous trips, I know it won’t be my last. For my previous trips, I made plans of visiting places outside of Nairobi but for some unknown reason, it never came to pass. This time around, I was determined to get out of Nairobi and Mombas...

I’ve gotten a few request to do posts on how much I spend on my travels (aka Financial Implication) but it has never really been my thing because first, I think that cost is dynamic and me giving a post about it doesn’t necessarily show a true picture of the destination. Secondly, I believe experien...

Exploring the crocked dungeons and pathways in Fort Jesus. I was a bit disappointed visiting this site because my guide was a young lady who failed woefully at giving a comprehensive detail of it. A good tour guide will definitely make your visit to any site/destination worth the trip for sure. The problem is, how do spot them?😢🙁

The other day, posted a picture she took on Brooklyn bridge when she visited New York stating that most people who visit the city probably have a picture taken on the bridge. Well, I was busy trying to catch one with the iconic yellow taxis instead 🙈🙈🙈. I'm sure I'll be visiting New York again in the near future and when I do, the first place I'll be headed is Brooklyn bridge...to take a picture of course!

to when I tried to channel inner Model😒. . Forget what you may have heard about Zimbabwe (crumbled currency, dictatorship...) the country has well developed infrastructure for tourism and really good service. I won't hesitate to go back there if time and bank account permits. I've been seeing some posts and comments about why as a Nigerian, I should promote domestic tourism and all that jazz. The truth is, if certain infrastructures and facilities are not put in place to make our tourist sites more attractive, that s**t won't happen. Let's not into go into details about the crappy service you get in some hotels and attractions. They treat you as if you are disturbing their peace forgetting that without you, they won't be in business. I've had my fair share of travel within the country in the past and I plan to do more in the near future but if someone decides to take their cash out of the country, please let them be!

So I'm a year older today and someone asked me why I didn't go on a getaway to celebrate!!! Emmmmmmm, Have you checked the prices of ticket lately?!!!😒😒😒. Exactly! To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of summer travel. I'm just fine hugging my couch and stuffing my self with as much cake as I can lay my hands on 🎂🎂🎂😍😍😍

Dubai is one destination I feel I didn't do enough justice to. I spent most of my time wandering from mall to mall, looking for the best deals. An attendant in one of the shops had to ask me if I wanted a cargo load of a particular item I bought 😂😂😂. They thought I was a market woman 🙈🙈🙈. I would really love to go back to Dubai and explore beyond its infinite malls. On that note, pls epp me beg my friend to put me in her suitcase when she's going in August 😩😩😩😩.

If you ever find yourself in Kigali and you intend to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, prepare yourself for all shades of emotion. Anger, pain, grief, sadness…you name it. Like most visitors to Kigali, I wasn’t going to be left out in visiting the largest Genocide memorial in the country so off I...
