Our House is Your House
A warm welcome awaits you at Heron's Lodge and Heron’s Cottage. A unique and impressive 7 double bedroom home and 2 bedroom cottage in beautiful rural Shannon countryside. Set in 4 acres of idyllic private grounds with its own lake and glorious views. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty this property offers a tranquil base for exploring and enjoying all that a holiday in Ireland has to offer. Flexible accommodation, substantial communal areas and cosy rooms this property is the perfect base to explore beautiful Ireland.
Our fully equipped lodge offers 7 beautiful, double bedrooms overlooking our extensive gardens or our private lake. With so much character and charm the lodge has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished, with a conservatory and decking area to the front overlooking the lake where you can sit and relax. Tastefully decorated and furnished, and fully equipped. Each double bedroom offers a king bed with comfy mattresses, fresh pillows and crisp high quality linen. The property has bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. The master bedroom with en-suite is located downstairs, along with an additional family room and family bathroom, which has a feature Corner bath. Bedrooms upstairs enjoy the convenience of a “jack & jill” style en-suite. Substantial communal areas make this property perfect for groups and families. A beautiful sun room with ample seating overlooks the private lake. There is also a separate tv room, dining room and a sitting room upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and has an additional table for dining.
Cosy Heron’s Cottage offers 2 charming bedrooms, a modern kitchen diner and lounge area with log burning fire. The cottage also enjoys spectacular views over the gardens and has it’s own outside patio area.
The local area offers a choice of activities. Heron’s lodge is located in Rooskey, County Roscommon. The town of Rooskey is a short drive away and offers places to eat, drink and local live music. A stones throw from the River Shannon and a short drive or train journey from many other activities from historical landmarks, breathtaking areas of natural beauty, golfing, fishing, horse riding and many water and adventure activities. The house is located quiet area, which see’s little traffic and few neighbours so we are not overlooked, apart from the donkeys in the top field.
