As we approach Dia de los Mu***os, we invite you to embrace this vibrant tradition that honors our loved ones who have passed away, combining ancient Aztec customs with modern festivities.

From colorful altars, called ofrendas, adorned with loved one’s photos, favorite foods, and marigolds to lively events filled with music and dance, this celebration is a heartfelt tribute to those we’ve lost. It’s also an opportunity to experience rich cultural traditions, while creating new memories with new or current Evergreen friends.

Member Spotlight: Ron Grant, from Brisbane, Australia

We’re excited to highlight longtime Evergreen member Ron Grant from Brisbane, Australia. When Ron and his wife, Sandar, aren’t traveling the world, he volunteers at the Redlands Bay Men’s Shed, an organization where men support their community and share their skills.

Recently, Ron built a Little Library for his community using an old metal wine fridge. This creative upcycling project not only keeps the books safe but also prevents the fridge from ending up in a landfill. Thanks to Ron’s ingenuity, this library will benefit the community for years to come.
