Did you know you could be collecting miles for your baby/toddler even if they don’t have credit cards??

Here’s how 👇

Once they turn 2 they officially qualify for collecting their own miles, so you can sign them up for mile accounts with the airlines you fly the most, and soon enough they will have enough miles for free tickets 😝

As soon as they turn 2:

1. make them an email
2. Sign them up to collect miles with the airline/s
3. Accumulate their miles until they’re enough for free seats.

With airlines running more mile promotions than ever, this is the best time to start, Even if your kiddo is past the 2 year mark.

Pro Tip: make folders in their inbox with each airline you sign them up for, so it’s easy to find the miles number and login info later on 😉

If you are about to travel with your baby for the first time: what questions do you have?
If you’ve been traveling with your baby/toddler: what advice/suggestion would you add to this list?

After 3+ years of full time travel it’s safe to say, we did not need to worry about our travels ending because our baby was coming 🙄 in fact, we’ve done longer, better, and often funner trips since she came along.

And now, we will do this with 2 😍
Any seasoned travellers have tips for traveling with 2? Any major changes to be on the lookout for???

Something I’ve been meaning to share for a month 🧡

Let’s play a game: If you’re pregnant, share a fear you have about birth, postpartum or being a mom (of multiples, for the first time etc) if you’re postpartum, share something positive about your birth, postpartum, or life as a mom.

What would you tell your postpartum self if you could go back in time?

From a very happy, relieved, and in love mama on her second postpartum journey:

Rest and love your baby and your body as much as you can. The rest will all sort itself out.

And yes, transitioning to two is challenging, but you just made and birthed a human. YOU can do hard things.

And just like that, my world is complete 🥰

Let me introduce you to our new world traveler: Atlas Ea Torrelier

She was born at home in Hawaii on March 11th, just one day before her due date 🤗 it was the birth of my dreams (more on that later) and the shortest labor I could’ve asked for.

She was born 9lbs 5oz (remember that big belly? 😂) and she is absolutely delicious! 😍
Her sister is obsessed (swipe to the last photo) and quite frankly, so are we 🤷‍♀️

We are currently in a bubble of love, rest, and gratitude 🙏 and so much happiness. Oh and p**p… lots of baby p**p 😜

Now, mamas, I need your help: how do you get things done when all you want to do is cuddle a baby and there is also a toddler who wants your time? I’m not talking today or tomorrow but like…. How do things get done with 2? 😳 any and all tips welcomed 😘

Xoxo,
Marae

Once upon a time I was so pregnant it looked (and felt) like baby would be here any day now, but I was still at least a month away 😒

Cheers to the third trimester; here to teach us we can do hard things… for a very very VERY long time.

Let’s take bets, friends!
We’re in week 35/36… when will baby make her entrance?

Hint: Alaska showed up 2 days before week 42🙄

Found these gems on my phone from Alaska’s first thanksgiving celebration 🥹 (across for the last one for the cutest grin) 🥲
I remember how the world was in lockdown and I wondered why to even bother dressing her up if we couldn’t go out or do much…. But now I look at these photos and I know this much: my next child will be dressed and photographed for every single occasion in the most extra of fashions because my god, aren’t these photos just the cutest!???? 🥰

Dubai with toddlers:
Do:
- Book a hotel with a pool and preferably beach access
- leave with plenty of time to get to activities or restaurants… all the loops and exits can be confusing if you’re driving and there can be extensive traffic
- sunset time and later is a wonderful time to get the kids to run and burn some energy before bed in the cooler weather

DONT:
- visit during June, July, august, September when it’s at its hottest if you’re not used to the temperatures or plan lots of inside time.
- don’t plan mid day activities the first few days, instead plan evening or inside activities your first few days to get used to the climate.
- don’t book a sunset + dessert bbq experience from dubai. They’re mostly crappy. Instead, go to the one from Abu Dhabi for a much more genuine experience.
Is the UAE a place you want to visit with your toddler?
If so are you planning dubai or Abu Dhabi? We really wish we had spent more time there especially to visit more of Abu Dhabi.

Wake up ☀️
run to breakfast because Alaska is hungry (all she really want is orange juice)
Sit by the beach and attempt to meditate (she joins us sometimes like in picture # 2)
Play at the beach until the sun gets too hot
Have lunch at the palapas and wait for Alaska to finish playing with sand so she can eat too
Negotiate with her so she can nap
Work on the Bali with Kids guide while she naps by the beach
Go for a walk around the islands
Stop to see the horses getting bathed
Find a spot for sunset and dinner
Stare at the volcano to see if today maybe it is clear
Roger thinks there won’t be much of a sunset
There is always an epic sunset, today is no different 🌅
Walk barefoot back to the bungalow while Alaska points at the moon, the stars, and her shadow reflected on the sand.
I must have been a goddess or a saint in my previous life to deserve to savour moments like these 💕 I know my life isn’t luck or coincidence. I know because I’ve worked for every single bit of it. But some days, all this magic just feels surreal.

The perfect stay for perfect days in paradise 💕
When we got here I sat by the ocean and cried. Then we sat there for an entire day. Then two, and three… people kept asking if we’d just arrived 😂 and then if we’d try this or that activity and we kept saying “no” almost with shame… because the truth is we didn’t know this when we came, but we came to Gili to heal our souls and steady our hearts and remind ourselves once again that the real beauty of being alive, is that it’s happening NOW.
I couldn’t choose a favourite because is my dream property so here is 10 photos to manifest us living in a space like this in the near future 😉

☝️ Your toddler!!!!
Everything can be replaced and acquired 😉
So, book the trip, pack minimally, and go to new places 💕 you’d be surprised about how little you actually need once you’re there.
Anyone else feels like they overpack every-time?
I packed for 3 days, we’re staying 12 and I have used one piece of clothing besides the bathing suit 🤦‍♀️ 😂

One day when she’s older we’ll look at these photos and remember how fantastic these “good old days” were. ☀️
And how it was here that she learned to shake rocks and sand off her feet without it bothering her..
And to walk fast on hot sand while looking for shade…
And where she discovered how big her shadow is at night with the street lights
And to say the word “estrella” 💫
We’ll talk about her waving at every single person who passed by on a bike…
And how she learned how to say both “Sama sama “ and “you’re welcome”
But most of all we’ll talk about how we spent endless hours at the beach and how we watched the sunset together every single day and then at night we looked at the moon and pointed out stars. 💕
These really are the best days of our lives.

This is our third time in Bali but the one we will remember forever and use as inspiration for the rest of our family trips. 🌸
It’s funny how traveling with your kids will change the way you look and think of a destination. And it’s also amazing how something that seemed so scary (traveling all the way from the US to Bali with a 2 year old with 4 stops in the span of 1 month) has turned into one of our favourite trips ever 💕
Things that have made this trip a success so far:
⭐️ implementing our jet lag cure which ensured we all enjoyed our week long vacations in each destination before we got to Bali
⭐️ hiring a nanny here in Bali so we could work the first few weeks
⭐️ ensuring Alaska slept on every flight so we could arrive rested vs super exhausted
⭐️ knowing what foods to give her before we got here so foods weren’t a complete shock and therefore we ensured she ate the entire trip
Curious about any of these? We teach you all we know and implement in our flights with toddlers in our course: The Ready to Fly Mom which closes its doors tonight (17th) at 11:59PM PST.
Can’t wait to see you inside 👏

India with a toddler… crazy? Maybe. Doable? absolutely.
Recommended? 100% yes!
It’s no secret that India is magnificently wild. All your senses are alert and stimulated at almost all times, and I can see why it can seem intimidating with little kids….(who are we kidding we were intimidated and we do this A LOT) but it’s been so wonderful seeing Alaska in awe of all the grand things one can experience in India.
The food, the animals, the incredible friendliness of the people and the Colors everywhere 🤩
Tips: take it easy, it can be a lot for you and for them
Be flexible with your schedule: if you notice someone in your family feeling overwhelmed, scale the sightseeing back for the day
Choose hotels with pools (if your kid likes the water) then you can enjoy inside the hotel and still keep them active while you take a break from the world outside
Ask for the food to be not spicy at all for your baby/toddler… mild means something else here I think 😝
Is India in your bucket list? Would you come with your toddler?
Ask all the questions you want below and I’ll answer them all 💕

Oh, how I love doing life with you 💕 - a note to our wild baby who at 27 months old has visited 13 countries with us and shows no sign of stopping 😝
No matter how many naps you skip, how heavy all the baby gear is, and how many p**py diapers we have changed in the middle of excursions, planes, dinners…. 😬 we can’t imagine traveling being more fun than it is now that you come along.
It doesn’t matter that your favourite word is NO and that you play homage to your Cuban-ness by being the loudest baby in any room. 😝
Or that you wake up screaming “apple” and refuse to go to bed at night for hours.
I will forever be grateful that you chose us, and that we get to share this life and our love for travel with you.
Thank you for coming along on this wild ride, my baby 💕 you make all our adventures better.
And thank you for being the sweetest child I have ever met 💗

May this be your reminder that it’s possible to have a fantastic vacation time with little kids.
It’s ok if you want to wait until they’re older, and it’s ok if you want an adults only vacation… but if you want to take your kids: KNOW that it is not just possible but enjoyable.
All it takes is some planning and a bit of patience 😉
I can’t really help with the patience part 😝 (as I’m still working on this myself) but as for the planning, we have a phenomenal travel day diaper bag checklist available to you for FREE. Link is in bio 😘
Let’s vote, your dream vacation is: by the sea or some body or water OR in the mountains/ more lush nature?

7 things that went wrong on our Baja vacation with our toddler 😬
✈️ the airline checked our car seat 3 times and almost didn’t let us take it onboard: but finally they did let us and she slept through the entire flight on her car seat 👏
🐠 we went snorkelling and she cried most of the time. We saw no fish 😒: but then she settled and stayed in the open ocean for most of the tour. First time for her 👏
😴 several days she refused to nap at her regular time, and then woke up super late and cranky 🤦‍♀️: we all adjusted our schedules and amped up the patience. We all survived 😉
🥘 she played the picky eater a few times, ended up getting too hungry, eating all kinds of things, and vomiting one night 🤢 : I had probiotics and we quickly bought stomach medicine. She got over it quickly.
☀️ we got over confident with sunscreen and her legs got 3 shades darker while camping ⛺️ : we tripled down the rest of the trip and it never happened again 🙏
🌧 we got completely soaked while camping one day: had to pick up under the rain, travel to the next town, and ended up having a super relaxing time by the beach with all the comforts 😂 turns out we didn’t know how much we needed that.
💇‍♀️ my recently cut and styled hair turned green from being in the pool so much 😂 : worth it because Alaska now puts her head under water without swallowing water and on her own 👏
As you can see, I’m sure, traveling with kids doesn’t make you immune to mishaps (much like real life with kids)… if anything, I’d say it makes you more prone to them 😬
The good news is that the more you practice, the quicker you’ll be at solving these issues. And no matter how crazy the adventure, the entire family will grow and learn from it; together ❤️
What’s the biggest fear you have of something happening to you on vacation?

And to think there was a single moment of doubt…. 😩
That we could do this as a family.
That it wasn’t right for our baby to be taken to so many places…
That her immune system would stay strong after the flights….
I remember the many times I’ve wondered wether she has enough toys. Or if I should be buying her nicer things instead of these crazy trips.
But luckily we are surrounded by an ever growing community of YOU: who not only follow and support our crazy travels, but that genuinely want to expose your kids to the same thing we do: the world 🌍
We just wrapped up the most amazing trip with our friends , & my brother AND every time we come back from an adventure we feel so full, but it’s especially lovely when those adventures happen close to nature and with people who share the same values as us.
If you made it this far I just want to tell you that TRAVELING is the right choice. No matter how far, how expensive (or cheap) how comfortable or how different the destination is. The more we experience this world, the better equipped we are to BE part of it. So if you choose to expose your kid/s to it early on 👏 I’m rooting for you. We are here to HELP YOU take that first (or 109th) step: with tips, hacks, info and destination ideas.
So tell me: what’s your dream destination to visit with your kids? And what is your biggest gold back when it comes to realising that trip?
Ours are: The Galapagos, Alaska, India, and Tahiti…. Amongst the rest of the world 😂
Big shoutout to thanks to whom we just had the most epic camping trip ever 👏

Travel doesn’t stop when you have kids💕
Travel (like almost everything else) changes. BUT it truly is an opportunity to change pace and see things differently, through another perspective. And you know what? After 2 years of full time travel and repeating many countries and cities we’d already visited before Alaska started traveling with us: the world is better seen through the eyes of kids. ❤️
This is your sign to go an adventure with your kids this weekend. It doesn’t have to be far. An adventure can be had in a magical land far far away under a fort built with sheets and cushions around your living room couch 😉
Get off your phone and go make some memories. I know we will ✌️

SAVE for when you visit panama 💕 ONE place you HAVE to visit when you visit Panama is the San Blas Islands…. 🏝
Wether you stay there or come for a few days, the san Blas islands are absolutely amazing. With 355 islands and cays to choose from, you really can’t go wrong.
A few tips to make your stay there more pleasurable:
- bring sunscreen: even if you find shade under a palm tree, the sun is pretty brutal in Panama.
- the boat ride is about 30 min to the nearest island and depending on sea conditions it may be pretty hard on your butt, so brace!
- bring all the food and drinks you need: some islands have stuff for sale, but needless to say inventory is limited.
- know you won’t have signal when you’re there 😂
Have you heard of the San Blas islands before? Are they in your bucket list?

Best beaches for families with babies/toddlers 🇬🇷 Greece Edition
🏖 Elsfonisi Beach 🏖
- known as the link sand beach
- plan on visiting while in the Chania side of the island as it’s far!!!!
- get there early to avoid crowds but if you can stay for sunset, it’s gorgeous.
- some areas have really pink sand. Others don’t. It’s all gorgeous anyway.
- plenty of loungers and umbrellas for hire €15 a day
- flat walk from parking to beach
- plenty of parking
- snacks sold at beach
- lots of shallow areas and puddles perfect for little kids to play.
- tons of marine life visible as well, great for kids who like or are learning about the ocean

Top Beach Destinations 🇵🇦 Panama Edition 👏
SAVE this for when you go!
As far as destinations are concerned we are always happy with a beach. 🏝
One of you asked me recently what we look for in hotels/destinations as far as making sure it’s kid friendly and I didn’t have to think much: a body of water. If it has a beach or pool available I know it’ll be a hit 😂 we are ocean people, and luckily our child loves the water as much as we do.
📍 Playa Blanca in the province of colon in Panama, is absolutely wonderful and if you get lucky like we did you may just get the beach to yourself.
🏖 You need a tour for getting there but they are widely available and fairly priced.
🏖 the boat ride is short and makes for a fun activity
🏖 on the way there you stop to see some ruins and it’s super interesting
Panama, in general, is a great destination for US travellers I have to add. Tons of connecting (and straight) flights, they use the US dollar, English is widely spoken, and the country has it all 🤩 we were big fans and want to return ASAP 👏
IF you have little kids the city of Panama itself may not be the most exciting. Also, the sun here is stronger so pack that sun screen. Oh, and it’s not cheap like you’d expect from a country in Central America 😬 I’d say prices are comparative to Miami or other Florida cities maybe a tad less in 2022 with inflation…
