I spent an incredible long weekend with Jeanne Rosier Smith in a plein air workshop. We were welcomed to her studio in Sudbury for a tour and demo. We then painted on location in Sudbury, the Grist Mill in Wayland and the Old North Bridge in Concord. Here are some of the creations that Jeanne worked on and I did. Most are incomplete but it shows the subject, it’s evolution, underpaintings and the beginnings of a completed pastel. You can follow Jeanne on Instagram at JeanneRosierSmith. Her waves pastels are amazing and what first drew me to her incredible and rare talent.

Welcome to the new Anees showroom at the Boston Design Center. Their pieces are gorgeous and the highest quality available. The bed is amazing in person. It’s shown with the softest leather and fabric combined. Furniture this beautiful helps my creativity and allows me to deliver a spectacular finished project.

Bergdorf’s is always a treat to visit. Their evening wear department is unparalleled. Lots of color and fabrics can be seen in the most captivating visual displays. One gown was constructed of all different colored feathers. Another display has elements from the dress added to the wall and accessories to draw you in. Every visit to Bergdorf’s is inspiring.

Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires: The architecture and acoustics are on par with the best opera houses in the world. We enjoyed the tour tremendously. It opened in 1908 after 20 years of construction. It is truly a masterpiece of mostly Italian design and construction.

Great design in art, interiors and architecture is always best when inspired by nature. Here is the staircase at the Alvear Palace hotel in Buenos Aires. It goes on for a dozen floors. It is all marble, iron, gilt and decoratively painted and scribed walls. Truly amazing and beautiful. There was a lot to love at this hotel. It is old world luxury.
