Acquiring and enjoying Art is one of the best ways to make a home your own. My client's art collection, curated over several years and I'm happy to say all through Susan Shulman Interiors, has now found its way to her new home on the Atlantic. She was overcome with emotion as we found places to hang every last piece. It was a real challenge given all the high wainscoting on the walls in nearly every room and many works were large. You can see how we addressed this obstacle in the marsh room by hanging coordinated art above and below the moldings. In the master bedroom in order to have her beloved blue duo of paintings visible, we hung them just outside the door so she can see them when she wakes up thereby extending her master bedroom wall space. Many thanks to the fine professionals #Bostonart
I always like to start a room with the rug. I do have the fabric for the drapes, as seen on the left bundled with the trim on the leading edges. I am very excited to see which one will resonate with my client. From there, it will be easy to complete the room. I'll post shots when it's completed.
