1️⃣ Ragged tooth sharks are known by various names depending on the region. In addition to "ragged tooth shark," they are also called sand tiger sharks (not to be confused with tiger sharks), grey nurse sharks, and spotted ragged-tooth sharks. This variety of names reflects their wide distribution and diverse habitats.

2️⃣ Tooth Migration: Ragged tooth sharks have a unique dental phenomenon known as tooth migration. Their teeth are continually replaced throughout their lives, with new rows of teeth growing in the back of their mouths and moving forward to replace old or damaged teeth. This constant process ensures that they always have sharp teeth for hunting prey, making them formidable predators in their environment.
