Yacht Emily Morgan Yacht Emily Morgan is a UK registered and coded, classic Bowman 57. Individual places are available for ocean passages & Caribbean holidays.

She is also available for whole boat charter. We offer: Caribbean charter; Atlantic Rally for Cruisers; Ocean Emily Morgan, named after the Yellow Rose of Texas, is a classic Bowman 57 sailing yacht. She was designed by Holman and Pye, who later designed many Oysters, and built by Southampton Boat Services in Hampshire, UK. The spacious cockpit is perfect for sipping a cold sundowner whilst watchi

ng the sunset. It has an opening table for magical lunches and dinners under the stars. The large bimini fends off the fiercest midday sun. Sun lovers aren’t forgotten, there’s plenty of comfy cushioned deck space for soaking up the sun when we reach the anchorage, just don’t forget to lash on the factor 30! Sail handling is managed with furling headsails, mainsail with lazyjacks, a mizzen sail aft as well as a spinnaker and mizzen staysail when speed is of the essence. Emily Morgan is easy to handle with her flexible rig. Emily Morgan is a thoroughbred yacht, comfortable under way and at anchor. She is pretty, with beautiful lines, yet capable of handling heavy seas if the weather turns nasty.

After some time off doing family stuff, we are back and full of enthusiasm for sailing around our home in Portishead Marina, here in England's West Country. Our summer schedule offers a variety of trips around the Bristol Channel and the Scilly Isles with added adventure in Ireland.

Another successful Atlantic crossing completed with ARC Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. At sea we caught fish, had sextant and splicing lessons, baked bread and had music jam sessions. On land we partied.
Thanks to our lovely crew we had a great time and even picked up some prizes at the prize giving last night - First Female Skipper and recognition for volunteering to be an ssb radio net controller.
