The iconic Angel Oak Tree on Johns Island will be protected for generations to come! This past fall, the tree and its surrounding 44 acres were rezoned to preserve its beauty and history. Instead of apartments and housing developments—bringing added traffic and congestion—the area will now feature walking trails, natural play areas, and a welcoming pavilion for everyone to enjoy. A win for preservation, community, and Johns Island’s future!
