The majestic fall of Perumthenaruvi with its crystal clear waters form a stream and meanders through the forest. A synthesis of enchanting beauty and scenic splendour, it is a breathtaking site. Situated about 12 kilometers away from Ranni in Pathanamthitta, Perumthenaruvi is a developing tourist centre under District Tourism Promotion Council. The two other waterfalls near Perumthenaruvi are 300 feet “Panamkudantha”and the 200 feet “Padivathil” aruvees, originating from Sabarimala forest.

As per the tradition in Kerala, the Aranmula Kannadi forms a part of the Ashtamangalya set, one of the eight auspicious items that is usually arranged and displayed at marriage functions. The metal mirror which is manufactured in Aranmula has a front surface reflection mirror, which eliminates secondary reflections and aberrations typical in back surface mirrors.
Noted for its outstanding beauty and shrouded in secrecy, the Aranmula Kannadi is considered a medeival marvel in the annals of metallurgy.

Pulikali is an event that has become synonymous with the festival of Onam in Kerala.
As part of the performance, groups of local men would have their bodies and faces painted to resemble tigers. The theme of the performance is playing hide-and-seek with a hunter wielding a gun. The event generates a great deal of excitement both for the spectators as well as the performers.

Located about 3 km from Vazhikkadavu in Kottayam, Kurisumala is this renowned Christian pilgrim centre where hundreds of devotees from far and near converge during the holy week and after, to climb the hill in faith, carrying small wooden crosses. The biological phenomenon of the mass blooming of the Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana) flower that takes place once in twelve years has once again arrived in the famed hill resort of Munnar. This time in the Lockhart Gap Region that is located 13 km away from Munnar.

Neela means blue in Malayalam language and Kurinji the local name of the flower. Thousands of travellers visit Munnar during this time to watch the rolling hills and the seemingly endless valleys bathed in the purplish blue. The last time Neelakurinji bloomed in Munnar was in 2006.
