Our Story

Lake Jeff Cottage is a vacation rental home located in the westernmost part of Sullivan County, in the beautiful Catskill Mountains and just 2.5 hours from NYC.

The westernmost part of Sullivan County offers Lakes, rivers and an abundance of outdoor, year-round activities due to its vast resources.

Unlike other, more secluded lakefront rentals in this area, Lake Jeff Cottage is situated within a town. That means no long drives for food, shops, and services, as our small town is conveniently located just one scenic mile down the creek from the cottage.

Lake Jeff is a small and private, non motorized creek fed lake. Lake Jeff is great for fishing, rowing and splashing around in the water with family and friends. Lake Jeff offers a quiet environment with few neighbors having access to our lake.

Our rustic cottage sleeps up to eight guests and your house-trained pets are welcome.

For many years our family and friends would spend weekends, holidays and vacations at Lake Jeff cottage. We have many fond memories of our family and friends enjoying the lake and spending quality time in our home. Birthdays, holidays and every day was special at Lake Jeff Cottage. The children were happiest when they were spending time at Lake Jeff with their friends.

Our son learned to ice skate on the lake and took his riding lessons at a stable just up the road from Lake Jeff Cottage.

Now the children are grown and coming into their own and sadly, we simply don't use the house as often as we once did. Selling the cottage was never an option for our family. Rather than allow Lake Jeff Cottage sit empty, we decided to share our home with guests as a vacation rental property.

Now your friends and family have the opportunity to create life-long memories at Lake Jeff Cottage just as our family has. We're confident that once married, our children will wish to return to the cottage on weekends and holidays but until that time, we are more than happy to share our home with you.
