Took Antoine out for the time of his life, hunting for the infamous ice age brown trouts of Þingvallavatn. The look on his face when he hooked this beautiful beast and it started doing it's aerial tricks out of the water was priceless! This thicc boi was 80 cm long and 42 cm around!!

Notice the 12 cm long Zonker hanging from it's mouth!

The fishing season starts in 5 weeks here in Iceland. We've been keeping busy with going over our equipment, looking over the tide charts to plan trips accordingly and tying lots and lots of flies.

Can't wait to try these on some browns soon!

The highlands in Iceland are wonderful for fly fishing. Here is Tryggvi holding a 10 pound brown trout after a long fight with it. It was a beautiful beast measuring 70 cm long and 40 cm around.
