Goin’ Down the Bayou

We can’t wait to share this next chapter in Tiana’s story with everyone! The ride will take guests on a musical adventure picking up after the events of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “The Princess and the Frog.” Guests will join Princess Tiana on an adventure through the bayou as she prepares to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome. Along the way, they will see some familiar faces, make new friends, and travel through the bayou into the next chapter of Tiana’s story. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also feature original music and some familiar tunes from the beloved movie, and so much more… including an incredibly thrilling 50-foot drop!

No tricks here, because we’re doling out five new treats — plus returning favorites — for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2024! It’s time to kick off the festivities with a Halfway to Halloween celebration, and we’re conjuring up more spooky spectacles at this separately-ticketed event.

This year’s event kicks off Aug. 9 and will take place on select nights through Oct. 31 at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. Tickets go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on May 8. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale May 15.

The dates for 2024 are:

August 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30

"Hogwarts Always" castle projection show coming to Universal Islands of Adventure this summer.

"HOGWARTS ALWAYS CASTLE PROJECTION SHOW IN THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER – HOGSMEADE (Debuting June 14 at Universal Islands of Adventure)
On select nights, guests visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade will delight in the nighttime extravaganza, Hogwarts Always – an incredible new projection show that will take guests on a journey through iconic moments of a school year at Hogwarts – all set against the majestic backdrop of Hogwarts castle. From supply shopping in Diagon Alley, and the exhilarating ride aboard the Hogwarts Express, to participating in the Sorting Ceremony, celebrating the House Cup winner and so much more, this visually stunning experience promises to captivate witches, wizards and Muggles of all ages.

The show will also feature four different endings that celebrate each Hogwarts house and will culminate with a colorful pyrotechnic display. Fans should also listen for dialogue from beloved characters like Professor Dumbledore, Hagrid, the Sorting Hat and more throughout the show."

🚨 Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will soon be making changes to their Disability Access Service - DAS. These changes will become effective May 20, 2024, at WDW and on June 18, 2024, at DLR. 🚨

DAS was previously in place to assist guests who have difficulty tolerating long queues due to a disability. The updated system is intended to accommodate "only those guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar," are unable to wait in long lines.

Disney will work with Inspire Health Alliance's health professionals to help Cast Members (when necessary) determine a guest's DAS eligibility. DAS is for guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in line for a long period of time.

Effective May 20 at WDW, guests meet virtually with a Cast Member before arrival to determine eligibility. Day-of registration must also be done via virtual chat. Effective June 18 at DLR, guests can meet virtually with a Cast Member before arrival or day-of at Accessibility Services window.

Notable changes:
- DAS Advance pre-arrival attraction selections will no longer be a default offering to every DAS guest
- Current DAS guests will need to re-apply
- DAS party size max 4, limited to immediate family members (exceptions may be made for larger families with minor children)
- DAS enrollment eligibility increases from 60 to 120 days

Disney will also introduce a defined "return to queue" process for guests who need to leave a queue and re-enter. More information about this process will be shared closer to launch of the new system.

For those with questions or who need to explain more about their situation, Disney encourages guests to reach out to the DAS team for a conversation.

I get asked all the time.. when is a good age to take your kids to Disney.. my answer will never change.. any age is a good age! Bub’s first trip to Disney!! He was just turned 1 year old, he walked to Mickey, took in all the sights and sounds, rode pirates of the Caribbean, nemo, dumbo(still his favorite ride today) the carousel, Peter pans flight, haunted mansion, voyage of the little mermaid, many adventures of Winnie the Pooh, living with the land,… there’s SOOO many rides he got to experience.. seeing Disney through your child’s eyes NEVER gets old! This year when asked at 9 years old.. would you want to go to Universal Studios and do Harry Potter again (he’s a HP freak) He said can we do Disney instead!?
