I am totally in love with Bhutan so much that I have gone twice and already have a third trip planned. I have travelled from the Far East to the Far West of Bhutan and have been fortunate to personally meet his royal highness the King of Bhutan and his Prime Minister. I am humbled to give all the credit of these experiences of a lifetime and the reason I love and keep returning to Bhutan to a native Bhutanese woman, Rinchen Dolma, who runs her own travel agency, Bhutan Revelation Travels. I have traveled to well over 70 countries and have seen a lot of poor and exceptional travel agents. Especially with the high cost of travel to Bhutan it was important I chose the right agent so I did not end up with a poorly planned itinerary doing things which didn’t interest me and where wasted time was wasted money. I knew I had to put my trust in the right agent when traveling to a country with so many options to experience like festivals, cultural, culinary, adventure treks, and spiritual retreats. I wanted a taste of everything in my first trip, so weeks before I arrived Rinchen spent a lot of time on a chat app working out the details of what attractions I saw, food I ate (being vegetarian) and village homestays or hotels I stayed at so I was very comfortable with an itinerary that was tailored just for me doing the things I wanted to do at my own pace. Most importantly, when I arrived to Bhutan and all through the trip I almost felt she was with me all along the way because she provided me a local SIM card that allowed me internet on my phone so she could check in with me and the guides to ensure all my needs were met and that I was happy all the time. Some agents just dump you off with a tour guide when you arrive and hope for the best, in fact, Rinchen greeted me at the airport on arrival and departure. An agency that is accredited by the Tourism Council of Bhutan and run by a genuine kind-hearted local Bhutanese woman who wants nothing more than for her clients to have an outstanding visit and leave with lifetime memories is why I have chose and continue to choose Bhutan Revelations Travel for my vacations to Bhutan.
