Elembee

Elembee When you want to make change happen, start with your website. I'll show you how. www.elembee.com I offer straightforward web guidance for making it happen online.

I got to where I am because of my website, and I want to help you get where you want to be. As a web designer and developer, I found my clients responded to my straightforward approach as I guided them through the tech-y stuff, step by step. I'm here to share that same advice and guidance with you. Ultimately, my work is about helping you get your website together, whether that’s a blog for your c

reative passion or a site for your creative business. We all have big dreams, and I believe change begins with your website. Make it simple, say it straight, and put it out there so you can be awesome online. And now, for the personal stuff: I currently live in Tulsa, OK. I hit the snooze button at least three times a day. In another life, I'd go to Hogwarts or star in Pitch Perfect. I have a dog named Dobby (yes, like the house elf in Harry Potter). I watch way too much TV and will never miss an episode of Scandal. Mani/pedi breaks are mandatory. Progress beats perfection... always. Keep up with my latest advice, projects, and adventures at elembee.com.

I’m very hot and cold when it comes to listening to podcasts — sometimes they are exactly what I need to get through the work day, and other times I can’t stand the thought of listening to someone talk while I work and swap them out for music or silence instead. Right now, it’s podcasts …

I let this space gather dust because I forgot that I started a blog simply because I had something to say. I forgot that I still have things to say.

That was the short story I wrote when I made a quiet return to this space.

This is the long story. https://elembee.com/the-art-of-sharing/

Happy Valentine's Day! Here at press, we're excited for any excuse to indulge in our favorite treats (ice cream for us both, with extra hot fudge, of course). When doing what you love feels more like work -

I don't care how much you love what you do — at a certain point, I've learned, it's going to feel like work. Like a job. Like something you really don't feel like getting out of bed for (especially on cold winter mornings when your bed is perfectly cozy and warm).

Do you need a grace period?

Every year I feel like the holidays fly by, and I'm never quite ready for them to end. January 1 sneaks up on me, and I find myself wishing I had just a little more time to plan for the coming year, and maybe just a little more time to rest. This year, however, I was actually pretty excited to get b...

I'm personally over the term and all the cute girly variations. When you work for yourself, people have a harder time understanding what you do for a living and accepting it as legitimate work. But I've been working for myself longer than anyone else, and I don't want a cute term to diminish the work I do. What do you think? Am I overthinking it? Or do you agree?

(That's the beauty of working for yourself — you do you!)

Titles like “SHE-EO” and momtrepreneur are meant to empower women but actually do more harm than good.

I've noticed a trend in the questions I receive over the past several months — more and more of you want to know about Facebook. Specifically, Facebook ads!

You know what? I want to know more, too! I haven't been able to provide much guidance in this area, until today.

Today I want to share a free ticket with you to an amazing online event, all about using social ads for your business, from my friends Regina and Verick.

What I love about this event is that it's customized to your specific needs. With Social Ads School, you will get a custom session schedule and event manual based on two things:

The type of products/services you sell:
+ Courses and/or eBooks
+ Group coaching or masterminds
+ 1-on-1 freelance/consulting services
+ Live virtual events

and your current level of experience with ads:
+ Beginner
+ Intermediate
+ Advanced

From September 10-16, you’ll learn how to use Facebook ads, at any and all levels, through case studies and masterclasses only (no rambling interviews!). Regina is one of my go-tos for business learning because her resources are always jam-packed with actionable advice.

P.S. This event is totally free and comes with 24-hour replays, but if you want to keep lifetime access of all sessions and get an expanded manual to follow along with during the event and beyond, you’ll have the option to upgrade to an “All Access Pass” after you sign up for the free event. Totally up to you, but it’s something I recommend if you want to learn and review at your own pace!
