This space was hard, it had angles, it was fairly sized. I began following the beach cottage feel and designed a feature over the half wall at the stairwell.
Designed to look like the rope around a yacht, I used mooring rings and cleats to build a unique focal point.

From scary to 'almost' ready to look and feel like an open plan kitchen and diner. Again, followed those softer cool yet...

Having never done anything like this before, I added a coffee bar as a 'you got this girl' reward. I think you will love the end result.

What to do with space?
Its been a longtime since the plastered walls, there were times...I didn't think it would ever get completed, from workpersons who booked but showed up weeks after, to unforseen complications, I had an image in my head and decided to attempt it.
The groundfloor was completed for my personal use, I was having major surgery so needed a place to recover.
Upstairs, slowly filled with rubbish...and had to be sorted.

Welcome to The Annex, Iv been overthinking the space but look at how its come together. From a workshop and garage to something quite useable, its been a very long and expensive 2 years!
The cows in the field behind got a bit curious, so the broken fence needs sorting, but its secure again.
The flower tubs are blooming, despite this rain and I cant wait for a long, hot sultry summer to reach us.
