Ok its finally happening. Man are we slow but hey, one by one we are adding new product to our now up and rolling online store.

There is a lot to do. this is going to take some time. Eventually we should have more inventory on a wider range of product and able to serve request for whatever your looking for, even if its not listed.

If you have a request for minerals to post while we go through our stock or maybe suggest something of interest we might add to our selections, let us know.

Pricing is sharper for online purchases but we are also paying close attention to quality of product. Booth prices will always be the best but now we can have more goodies and reach more people. Cool?

Oh and we wont lose focus on where we came from. we still ROCK!

Thanks to brother Jim at Washington Rocks for turning this on his shere machine so we could finish grinding, polishing and placing on matching base of HC that's been ground and polished on top to hold and spin.
Ain't rocks fun!!!

Here is one of the 3 scorpions that made an appearance on our dig sites. He managed to make it to freedom. ....with my encouragement.

Today we set out to Superior, Az to locate the dig sites listed in the rockhounding book, Gemtrails of Arizona. This is out first dig for these volcanic obsidian nodules known as Apache Tears. The locale has large deposits of perlite. Also a type of volcanic glass but whitish to grey and brittle. Hopefully we will find the Apache tears in this glass as mentioned in the book. Part one

When it becomes a passion it's no longer work


  • What started as a simple day trip to find quartz crystals turned into an adventure, taking us to many places we would have never seen, amazed by beautiful rocks and minerals we knew little about and now find ourselves compelled to explore, dig and discover the next amazing specimens just beneath our feet. Rock hounding/collecting our kind of weekend relaxation. Some of the best finds are the most difficult to uncover. Rewarding discoveries that end up on our show tables. (The picture is of us standing in front of an enormous wall of honeycomb calcite in the mine in Utah)
