People often ask if I am nervous flying back and forth from Africa. The answer is no! Pilots and planes today are so sophisticated and know what they are doing. Good to know that they glide as far as they do from high altitudes and they have a lot of time before landing and letting the ground know to be prepared.

Six beautiful cheetah in one morning..

Such a rare and exciting sighting. I had waited the entire trip just for this.

Their lives are in such danger. Lion, leopard, hyena, and even baboons kill their cubs. This amazing mother had the three older ones two years ago. They hunt on their own now. The two baby cubs are the last that remain of FIVE! Cheetah are my favorite animals to watch. This truly a special moment. I was so grateful to witness this in the wild. These little cubs stole my heart.

So happy to be home! I’ve spent the first few days in South Africa near the coast with family and friends. It never quite feels long enough.

Packing up to head out into the bush tomorrow. We’re off on some BIG adventures. Flying up to the beautiful country of Zambia 🇿🇲 to visit some safari camps and parks.

We’ve got so many fun things planned and so much to see! We’ve got a long trip ahead, but are so excited to share all the goodness with everyone!

Jumping over the Salt Pans!!

Crossed the Makgadikgadi Pans this weekend on some quad bikes! Having so much fun in Botswana learning about the ecosystem of the desert.

When the rains come the earth turns into an oasis for bird life. The mud contains dormant shrimp that come alive with the rainfall! It’s rich with other nutrients, like calcium and algae for all the animals to eat. I love seeing how vastly different the area changes with the changing of seasons!!

The bike rides were provided by Jack’s Camp. They have a Bedouin style encampment that really feels like you are a part of the desert.

Having so much fun on these African adventures!!
