The cottages are located in a privately owned association on the shore of the AuTrain River. There is over 200 ft of river frontage that guests can use to relax, fish, swim or moor a boat. Below is a list of the amenities included in every cottage:

Gas grill with propane included. AuTrain is only 12 miles from Munising and the gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Also nearby is over 12 beautiful waterfalls within a 30 mile radius. Autrain is home to arguably the best beach on Lake Superior, with thousands of visitors each year, the sandy beach is very unique in that it provides swimming in Lake Superior and the Autrain River which is also sandy and considerably warmer than the Lake. The AuTrain River is a sandy and shallow river that winds through the Hiawatha National Forest into Lake Superior. Marquette is 35 miles to the west of Autrain and is the UP's largest city. There is many dining options, shopping and site seeing opportunities there as well. ATV/Snowmobile Trails are less than a mile away and can be accessed from the cottages. Hiking/Biking opportunities are even closer, and several designated trails are less than 10 miles away. Boating, fishing, kayaking, or whatever else you can think of, is available starting right in front of you. Upstream from the cottages is AuTrain Lake and can be reached by boat or kayak (boat and motor rentals available).
