Let’s enjoy some food and drink on this Rest Day Wednesday. We’ll start our day at Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast at Boma. Everything is delicious, but I have to say, they do something magical to the tater tots.

After eating multiple rounds at this buffet, let’s burn off some Mickey Waffle by exploring the art, architecture, and animals at this beautiful resort.

It happens to be a Saturday or Sunday, so after digesting a bit more, we make our way over to Coronado Springs for Sangria University. Here we learn about the history of sangria and sample the four in-house recipes served at Three Bridges Bar and Grill. Then it’s time to make our own sangria blend.

There’s no need to rush out after the course, so let’s stroll around the resort’s walking path and enjoy the beauty of the Gran Destino Tower.

On this Rest Day Wednesday, we are starting at Disney Springs. There is so much to do here, that we’ll be back, but today we’ll start with lunch at The Polite Pig. Sure BBQ is the name of the game here, but don’t miss out on the delicious sides.

Next, you can’t go to Disney Springs and not do some shopping, so let’s pop into World of Disney.

Then we’ll visit the PhotoPass Studio for some fun photos with surprise backdrops, magic shots, and a studio set up with changing settings.

Now it’s time to take a relaxing and beautiful ride on the Sassagoula River Cruise to Port Orleans-French Quarter.

There we’ll enjoy delicious, but messy, Mickey-shaped Beignets and walk around to see the fun atmosphere.

Finally, it’s time to head back to the hotel to rest up for another fun day tomorrow.

Let’s fly on the Disney Skyliner on this Transportation Tuesday. The colorful aerial gondolas connect Hollywood Studios, the International Gateway at EPCOT, and Disney Resort hotels - Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera. The EPCOT station is also a short walk from Yacht and Beach, BoardWalk Inn, and the Swan and Dolphin.

Did you know there’s only one official American Flag in the Magic Kingdom? It is lowered each day at 5pm during the Flag Retreat. This ceremony involves a selected veteran/service member visiting the park and patriot songs performed by the Dapper Dans and Main Street Philharmonic.

At the airport, be sure to look for all your bag drop options. You don’t want to stand in a long line for special assistance if you don’t need it, when an automated bag drop without a line is around the corner.

On this Rest Day Wednesday, let’s do a skyliner scavenger hunt.

We’ll start at Yacht and Beach with a later breakfast at either Ale & Compass or Cape May Cafe. It is a rest day after all, so sleep in.

Then we’ll search the resorts for hidden Disney characters and get a button from the front desk.

We’ll be sure to take time to enjoy the beach and views as we walk to the EPCOT Skyliner station.

Then we’ll enjoy the full Skyliner ride over to Pop Century.

Once there we’ll get a scavenger hunt map from the front desk and have fun walking around to find all the larger than life figures.

Once we’re done, we’ll pick out a prize from the fun briefcase.

Finally, we’ll end with a well deserved frozen drink.

The Monorail is an iconic mode of Disney transportation. There are actually three lines - Express (to Magic Kingdom), Resorts, and EPCOT. It’s especially fun to ride the EPCOT line, since it runs through the park. Call it the scenic route.

If you’re doing a grocery run or delivery, consider getting a foam cooler for items that won’t fit in the beverage cooler/mini-fridge. Just bring some gallon sized ziplock bags and fill them up with ice from the ice machine.
