I felt truly honored and humbled today to host afternoon tea and a visit to the donkeys by members of Brooke East Africa with their visitors from Brooke United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, Antigua, Ethiopa and more. We were 17 in all, which included Farming Systems Kenya and KSPCA. MOPSA was in her element, and nearly overshadowed by NAOMI who was quite enchanting

Sadness yet some pride as we loaded 10 donkeys today, to go to their new home in Machakos, where they will carry water for a women's group. Confident, and with developed characters, it only took a carrot each to go up the ramp. When they arrived here a year ago, rescued from slaughter by the KSPCA terrified and without trust, little did we know the joys - employment, learning ups and downs we would go through. We are privileged to have had this chance to totally rehabilitate the donkeys. I make it my business to cuddle each donkey every day. Farewell my darlings

We said good bye to 10 healthy donkeys today.
