Gianni Bianchini is an Italian-born photographer currently travelling in South-East Asia. With 20 years experience behind the camera in both film and digital, he is an artist who can see a photograph before he presses the shutter. A perpetual nomad, he has spent time travelling in a number of countries, involving himself in other cultures, and absorbing as much from the local inhabitants as he can. This is what sets his work apart from others: the main subject of his work is people. To Gianni, his camera equipment is not as important as the people he works with. His aim is to capture the thoughts, stories and experiences of humanity… His medium is the photograph. With a vast amount of experience in all styles of photography, Gianni is a veteran in a plethora of styles ranging from naturally-lit location shooting to studio work; from warm, sweeping landscapes to cold, cobble-stoned street photography. Currently, Gianni is devoting his efforts to ‘Travel photography’. Coupling his vast experience in the realm of photography, and his ability to work with people, Gianni has found his forte in a role as a photographic mentor. His passion and enthusiasm for people, travel and photography lend him an extraordinary gift to explain and instill in others a zest for the image. His website:
