Ok, Its been a while since the SAP ended, too many beutifull pictures too much action to update it on social medias, but there goes few of them. The 2023 took us through the Aegan and Ionian seas, through Crete, around Peloponese.
I do feel that it has become a lifetime experience for most of us, as it usualy has been on previous expeditions. I know those are cliches but it really is about people, friendship and adventure. Back to the paragliding roots, when it wasnt all about numbers, rather laughing loud, doing crazy things in the most unexpected terrain.
Thanks to everyone for creating this unique adventure.

As for this year expedition we still have a couple of berths left for the second leg - Pita Gyros Xc - from Crete to Lefkada (22.10-04.11)

As kid I was growing watching Jacques Yves Cousteau adventures, so when a childhood dream looks like may come true, I joined to first SAP expedition! Got more that my dream, like, very good friends !

That is a diferent view of Santorini... It's not as perfect as they usualy show it but the truth is also far from perfection - overloaded with tourists, exhausted donkeys trasporting lazy tourists with selfie sticks.. Getting there on the boat back in 2012 was a diferent storry - rowing on our made in china plastic inflatable between huge cruisers, than rushing through the crowd, looking for a sketchy take off behind a super market and off to a better dimension. Flying over Santorini indeed was something the pictures from gopro 2 wont make a justice, but those faces after landing, waiting to be picked up by the dinghy say it all.
During the "Moussaka Freeride' (08-20.10 Kos-Crete) we will try to repeat this epic adventure. There is still one double cabin left for this leg, are You in?

BIM! The SAP is back! Back to Greece this year, one of our favourite playgrounds. Few places that we´ve allready been to and many more to explore. With more experience, I think we know how to squeeze more juice from this area. Adventure guaranteed - unflown islands, tricky landings, wagas, hiking, remote anchorages, night sailing, wet stabilos, donkeys, dolphins its all included.
The route divided into two legs will take us all the way Through the Aegean sea to Crete and around Peloponesse to the island of Ionian sea.
Our home for this adventure will be a comfy Lagoon 380 catamaran.

The dates:
-08.10-20.10 "Moussaka Freeride" Kos- Crete
-22.10-04.11 "Pita Gyros XC" Crete - Lefkada

"Moussaka Freeride"
This one is really going to be a freeride across the cyclades. There is a route but honestly we aill adopt it to the weather forecast. There are few hotspots that we gone be hunting for - Amorgos and Karpathos are long mountanious islands, with constant convergence line along their spine and many take off options. Santorini is a once in a lifetime classic and if there´s gone be a weather window with W, we shall be there as well. We might also check out Ikaria. What is sure is that we will start in Kos and finish in Crete with its official xc and coastal sites.

"Pita Gyros XC" - This leg will conect 3 totally diferent zones. Starting in Crete, hopefully flying amazing sites on the way like Balos beach. Crossing to the Pelopones and exploring all the possible islands on the way. Southern Pelopones has some scenic mountains with top xc possibilities. We will make sure to be at the right place at the right time. From there crossing to Ionian islands (Kefalonia, Lefkada) with top coastal flying and the most beutifull water colour in entire med. A stopover for a drink in Zakinthos´shipwreck beach for sure

Bonjour, c'est Elea!
Voici un de mes spots préférés qu'on a fait en voilier en Croatie. C'était le jour de l'anniversaire de Marek le Capitaine. On était en mouillage dans un très bel endroit et on s'est beaucoup amusé.
J'ai ajouté des choses pour vous faire découvrir la vie en voilier et le vocabulaire marin.
Serez-vous capable de retrouver ces détails :
- Marek qui a atterrit et qui plie sa voile
- Papa encore en l'air, installé dans sa sellette cocon
- Maman en train de faire sa petite méditation sur le pont du bateau
- Marcella qui nage
- Yan, en train d'essayer de mettre en route le moteur du dinghy "Luna", amarré à la poupe du bateau, pour aller chercher Marek
- Moi en train d'éclabousser ma soeur qui se laisse tirer dans la bouée
- Beat qui plonge dans l'eau depuis le bome
- Martin qui lit dans sa cabine
- Océane, l'étoile de mer dont nous nous sommes occupés pendant 2 jours
- l'ancre fixée à la proue du bateau
- la voile génois enroulée sur son mat qui est fixée à la proue
- la grand voile enroulée dans le mat principal, on ne voit qu'un petit triangle bleu dépasser ! On a vu d'autres voiliers avec la voile enroulée sur le bome.
- le linge qui sèche accroché aux filières entre les chandeliers.

Back to Montenegro! On the leg 1 and 3 we will sail the coast of Montenegro. With Kotor, Budva and Bar this place is a paradise for sailing and paragliding. It's where it all started back in 2012 onboard of "Anna F". You can go high above the water in Kotor Bay or try the Bar-Budva xc line. The landscapes, the history and the Slivovica it's all there. We still have few places left for those parts of the Expedition, just get yourself onboard!

The jewel in the Adriatic, Montenegro is a secret spring and autumn autumn flying spot, perfect for escaping to when the Alps are wet, windy and cold

This beautifull coastline is the south of Albania. Albania is a second country that we will visit during the 2017' SAP. Whats cool about it is that there is almost no sailing infrastructure, the main harbours are the relic of the previous system with all the odd folklore to be expected. The mountains of the riviera are very promissing, also a reall jewel are the Albanian Alps in the north of the country with no trace of paragliding activity...;)
We still have berths left for this part of the journey, so dont be shy. Here is the avalability:

Thats a general route, the selection of stopovers on the way will depend on the flying/sailing conditions and our decisions.

Thats a short compilation of some videos from the 2012, 2015 and 2016 expeditions. In total we've spent 150 days on sea in Montenegro, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Madeira, Canary Islands. We sailed over 3000 miles, flew on 38 sites, many of them virgin. 49 crew members from 11 countries and 4 continents participated. Each one of this trip was diferent every crew special, lets see what the 2017 SAP will bring :)

Thats a raw footage of one of Nicholas´ unforgatable performances during the 2015 SAP in Greece. Shall we see him onboard again???
There are quite a few crazy stories about those parties... Once on Paxios, after causing a confusion and astonishment in some local bar, the crew was dancing outside, in the rain, to Nico´s Trombone. Then the thunderstorm came and Gui arrived running from the boat, yelling that the anchor went loose. Like in an action movie we ran through the town to save the boat. Some other boat hooked our anchor and lifted it. In the meanwhile the wind picked up a lot. The whole harbour has become a domino of a hundred of sailboats. We spent entire night protecting the stern from the quay, the engine on, trying to dig the anchor again, running with fenders all of that with Nico´s soundtrack comming from the shore, the ¨Titanic¨ theme song ...
