Mount Marcy is the highest mountain in New York State. Located in the Adirondack Park, it’s the highest of the 46 High Peaks. Trail conditions are amazing right now and lots of hikers stop in historic Lake Placid, home of the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Games.

Aconcagua 2025 Itinerary 🏔️

Trip Dates: January 3rd-20th

Day 1: Arrive in Mendoza, Argentina
Day 2: Drive from Mendoza to trailhead and spend the night at Penitentes (2,725m)
Day 3: 3.5 hour hike to camp confluencia (3,300m)
Day 4: 7 hour trek to Plaza de Mulas Basecamp (4,260m) Basecamp is a full service camp with meals and Wi-fi.
Day 5: Rest Day
Day 6: Gear carry to camp Canada (4,910m)
Day 7: Rest day at Basecamp
Day 8: Hike up to camp Canada and sleep there.
Day 9: Hike up to camp II (5,250m)
Day 10: Rest day at camp II
Day 11: Gear carry to high camp 3 (6,000m)
Day 12: Stay at camp 3 and prep for summit bid
Day 13: Summit attempt
Day 14: Camp 3 to Basecamp
Day 15: Back to Mendoza
Day 16: Fly home
Day 17-18: Weather contingency days
