The goals of our company are to be profitable and build a product line through name recognition. It is the immediate goal to organize an International short haul cycling race in Mumbai, while the long-term goal is to go public with several health and fitness center facilities and an active product line. Mumbai CYCLOTHON - Tour De Mumbai 2010:
It's the first time in history India will host a UCI cycling event. Mumbai CYCLOTHON - Tour De Mumbai 2010 will have multiple categories – the Amateur ride of 24 Kms, the corporate/group ride of 24Kms, the Green ride of 12 Kms and the kids ride for youngsters between the ages of 8 and 13 spanning 2 Kms. Salman’s Foundation, Being Human, would be the principal partner of Mumbai Cyclothon. The 100 km criterium in the city of Mumbai attracts some top cyclists with a big cash purse of USD 100 000.- for the winner. The flat 2.8 km criterium lap on a highway bridge in the city of Mumbai had to be done 32 times. The event boasted more than 100 riders, Juan José Haedo (Saxo Bank) including Australian sprinter Baden Cooke. The 120 rider peloton will included Saxo Bank professionals Stuart O'Grady and Baden Cooke, with Estonian sprinter Jaan Kirsipuu to compete as a member of the LeTua cycling team. Trek-Livestrong rider Charlie Avis has also been confirmed for the event and will race as part of a composite Mumbai All-stars team that will also include Olympic gold medallist Scott McGrory. ProTour teams Saxo Bank and Cervélo TestTeam took part in the event, alongside Continental squads CKT-Champion System, Glud & Marstrand Horsens, Giant Asia, LeTua and Marco Polo. Indian and Malaysian national teams will also line-up for the event. The event has been recognized by the International Cycling Union (UCI) as a Cat. Mumbai CYCLOTHON - Tour De Mumbai 2010: will be listed under the section 1.2 of the Asia Tour. The current leg is endorsed by Eddy Merckx. This event will be resume under the medical vigilance of John Gloster and Victor Popov, five-time official physio of Tour De France and consultant physio to the Australian Cricket Team. The race will see the top 13 professional cycling teams in the world compete one another. The Indian national cycling team participating in the Commonwealth Games will be the 14th team. The race is part of a wider mass participation "cyclothon" event for children and adults designed to raise the profile of cycling in cricket-obsessed India, as well as improve health and fitness. The Team Saxo Bank sprinter took the $50,000 first prize after shaking free of Germany’s Dirk Mueller, from Team Nutrixxion-Sparkasse, on the final lap of the 100-kilometre (60-mile) course.
