m whole life i’ve said to anyone who’d listen that i am a Brazilian at heart • that one day i’ll retire there, open a pousada on a beach and wait for guests with open hearts, a caipirinha in hands and bossa nova playing in the background • i could not speak those words the last four years, disgusted by the hate-filled president in place denying global warming and destroying so much of the country’s vital forests • Brazil is a magical place where nature culture history music adventure beach rivers forests waterfalls sunsets and smiles are united 🇧🇷 let’s go back to Brazil and celebrate the incredible jeitinho brasileiro 🧡

it’s impossible to describe the amazingly delicious food that i’ve had all along • it’s just too much!! too good!! • so i am keeping it simple … this is and my favorite breakfast: a plain dosa and kachuri eggs - scrambled with the perfect blend of spices, and a little watermelon juice on the side 🤍

India is truly incredible, mesmerizing, magical, fascinating • i cannot think of a better place to awake all senses after the years we have all been through • it’s a mix of spirituality, sensuality, beauty, history - but also a big reality check of where the world once was and where the world is going • sorry if I am boring you with all my posts and stories but it’s endless inspiration all around 🧡 • have now moved onto Jodhpur the blue city … stay tuned in my stories 🇮🇳

the streets of Old Delhi • beyond madness 🛺

today i met the most inspiring 21-year old, via charity which organizes city walk tours of a special kind in Old Delhi • Ajay is his name • he ran away from his family at 12yo, and like so many other children, found himself in Delhi Central Train Station with nowhere to go • after years of shelters and living in the streets in the most harrowing conditions, he’s turned around his life thanks to the incredible work of Salaam Balaak Trust (which was founded by the film director of remember this beauty?) • the organization runs eye-opening tours where the children share their stories in situ • it’s impossible to come to India marveling at its beauty without trying to understand the harsh realities and complexities of this gigantic country • i cried a lot listening to Ajay but they were also tears of admiration • talking about the roads less traveled … this is it • donate if you can!! and even if you cannot make it to Delhi anytime soon!! • thank you 🤍

Turner kind of sky in London last night … as if to say, it’s not so bad to be back after all .. fine, I’ll take that .. no filter btw • just like that, an explosion of golden clouds with rays of sunlight falling straight onto this mansion building at the corner of ugly Finchley Road .. wowza • in other news, I’m told that it was also the start of Ganesh Festival yesterday, the god of good fortune and prosperity .. maybe the skies were trying to tell me something 🧡

my brother - who has been coming to this magical part of Sicily every summer for 22 years! - made me promise not to divulge too much • but the beyond beautiful city of Scicli is no secret, and it gives a glimpse of what lies in the South East • then of course you have the turquoise blue waters, the spaghetti alle vongole to die for, the men in their tiny bathing suits still as tight as they were back in the days, the colorful ceramics dotting every shop • yes some places are better staying off the grid!! - especially in Italy which is already so so crowded with tourists • and in any case, some places are not for everyone and they should stay that way • raw, real and rough around the edges ❤️
