The 2024 Newhallywood
Silent Film Festival Starts Tomorrow Night!

Greetings fellow silent film fans!

The 2024 Newhallywood Silent Film Festival is finally HERE! Join us in Santa Clarita tomorrow, February 16th through Sunday, February 18th as we celebrate the early days of silent film and the role the Santa Clarita Valley played in this remarkable history.

This year’s festival honors two titans of early American film, Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and Thomas Ince. We will be showcasing a variety of silent films from different genres, including drama, comedy, and horror. There are a few seats left for our popular silent film tour (Bustour Keaton) where you can glimpse the vibrant era of early Tinseltown, led by film historian E.J. Stephens.

In addition to films, we've lined up guests and festivities for you to enjoy throughout the weekend, including the spectacularly talented graphic novelist and movie journalist Steven Peros, (screenwriter of one of our featured films, The Cat’s Meow), Dr. Tracey Goessel, founder of the Film Preservation Society and the world's foremost expert on Douglas Fairbanks, John Bengtson, renowned silent film author, film historian and preservationist (you don't want to miss an opportunity to see John's lectures), and Marc Wanamaker, recognized around the world as one of the leading historians in Los Angeles. We're very honored to partner with these special guest stars!

All screenings and events (with the exception of the Bustour Keaton) are FREE (you read that right!) Click below for more info and tour tickets.

We can't wait to see you this weekend!
