Makapu'u Lighthouse, perched atop a rugged volcanic cliff on Oahu's eastern shore, stands as a sentinel overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean. Its white tower, built in 1909, soars 46 feet into the sky, casting a reassuring beacon for maritime navigation.

The Makapu'u Trail is a scenic hiking path on Oahu, Hawaii. Spanning about 2.5 miles round-trip, it leads to the iconic Makapu'u Lighthouse. The trail boasts breathtaking coastal views, steep cliffs, and whale-watching opportunities in season. It's a relatively easy hike, making it popular among visitors and locals alike.

Caution: There is not much shade on this trail.
