It has been already 3 months since we finished Our First World Trip and returned to the US. During these months, we also invested a big part of our time on updating our website with the last four countries we visited. You could find pictures and articles regarding our experiences in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico. We officially conclude updating our website with the stories and images of the 70 countries we visited during the 1500 days around the world. Sometime in the future, we are hoping to make a few changes to the website so it can be more user-friendly. We also will continue working on our goal of publishing a book regarding the entire experience. We appreciate any ideas or suggestions you could offer us regarding these future goals. Let us know if you have specific suggestions regarding the changes you would like to see in the website, as well as any ideas or resources you may have regarding the book project.

Ya han pasado 3 meses desde que terminamos Nuestro Primer Viaje Mundial y regresamos a los Estados Unidos. Durante estos meses, también invertimos gran parte de nuestro tiempo en actualizar la pagina web con los últimos cuatro países que visitamos. Podran encontrar imagenes y artículos sobre nuestras experiencias en Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala y México. Concluimos oficialmente la actualización de nuestra pagina web con las historias e imágenes de los 70 países que visitamos durante 1500 días alrededor del mundo. En un future proximo, esperamos hacer algunos cambios en el sitio web para que pueda ser más fácil de usar. Y también continuaremos trabajando en nuestro objetivo de publicar un libro sobre toda la experiencia. Apreciamos cualquier idea o sugerencia que nos puedan ofrecer en referencia a estos objetivos. Dejenos saber si tiene sugerencias específicas sobre los cambios que le gustaría ver en la pagina web, así como cualquier idea o recursos que pueda tener con respecto al proyecto del libro.

A week ago, on November 15, we crossed the US-Mexico border after 1500 days of travel to officially end Our First World Trip!!! Thank you to each and every one of you for all your unconditional love and support through these years, we are looking forward to seeing you soon. We have updated our website with our final route and fun facts. And we have also added pictures and articles from Nicaragua. We currently find ourselves in Seattle to spend Thanksgiving with family. We hope to be in Los Angeles before Christmas to see friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving and holidays to you and your families.

Hace una semana, el 15 de Noviembre, cruzamos la frontera México-Estados Unidos luego de 1500 días de viaje terminando oficialmente Nuestro Primer Viaje Mundial !!! Gracias a todos y cada uno de ustedes por todo su amor y apoyo incondicional a través de estos años, tenemos muchas ganas de volver a verlos. Actualizamos nuestra pagina web con la ruta final y los datos divertidos. Y también añadimos fotos y artículos de Nicaragua. Actualmente nos encontramos en Seattle para compartir el Día de Acción de Gracias en familia. Esperamos estar en Los Angeles antes de Navidad para reencontrarnos con amigos y familiares. Feliz Día de Acción de Gracias y Felices Fiestas para todos ustedes y sus familias.

We recently updated the website with our experiences in Argentina (Iguazu Falls), Brazil, and Colombia. Brazil was exceptionally special for us. This is the country where we have spent more time in our trip thus far and where we will happily return any day. Brazil's cultural diversity, people's kindness, music, architecture, cuisine, and landscapes made it unforgettable. If you are a nature lover as we are, make sure to check our article about Brazil Natural Treasures. Colombia is Gisela's homeland and tourism has increased significantly in the last years. Although we didn't explore it much this time as much as we wanted, we hope our articles and pictures can give you a taste of its sweetness.

Recientemente actualizamos la página web con nuestras experiencias en Argentina (Cataratas del Iguazú), Brasil y Colombia. Brasil fue excepcionalmente especial para nosotros. Este es el país en el que hemos pasado más tiempo en nuestro viaje hasta ahora y donde estariamos encantados de volver en cualquier momento. La diversidad cultural de Brasil, la amabilidad de su gente, música, arquitectura, gastronomía y paisajes hacen que sea inolvidable. Si eres un amante de la naturaleza como nosotros, asegúrese de revisar nuestro artículo sobre los Tesoros Naturales de Brasil. Colombia es el país de origen de Gisela y su turismo ha incrementado significativamente en los últimos años. Aunque no exploramos tanto como queríamos esta vez, esperamos que nuestros artículos y fotos les pueden dar una idea de su dulzura.

We recently updated our website with fun facts, the route, pictures, and articles regarding our experiences in Bolivia and Paraguay. We hope you will enjoy reading and seeing pictures about our favorite trip in Bolivia as we visited the Uyuni Salt Flats and Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna, two amazing destinations everyone should add to their bucket list. By reading our journal, we think you will be as impacted as we were during our days in Paraguay, even though Paraguay is probably the least visited country in South America, it is a unique cultural treasure awaiting to be explored: Guarani, the indigenous language, is still widely spoken today by everyone; and drinking terere (cold tea from mate) is the best way to beat the heat by sharing quality time with others.

Recientemente actualizamos la página web con datos divertidos, la ruta, fotos y artículos sobre nuestras experiencias en Bolivia y Paraguay. Esperamos que ustedes disfruten leyendo y viendo fotos de nuestros destinos preferidos en Bolivia, el Salar de Uyuni y la Reserva Nacional de Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa, dos destinos increíbles que todo el mundo debería incluir en su lista de deseos. Al leer nuestros articulos, creemos que se van a sorprender tanto como lo estuvimos nosotros durante nuestros días en Paraguay, a pesar de que Paraguay es probablemente el país menos visitado de América del Sur, es un tesoro cultural único a esperas de ser explorado: Guaraní, la lengua indígena, sigue siendo hablada hoy por la mayoria de la poblacion; y tomar terere (té de mate frío) es la mejor manera de combatir el calor al compartir tiempo de calidad con los demás.

We recently updated our website with our experiences in Chile, Peru, and Ecuador. These three countries have a lot to explore and gave us plenty of wonderful experiences. You may love reading about our days as we trekked in Torres del Paine National Park, explored the most arid desert in the world in Atacama, volunteered at a farm where we harvested grapes and learned how to make cider, visited Peru's archaeological sites, give some tips on how to visit Machu Picchu on a budget, the Galapagos Islands, and our volunteer work at a community not far from Quit with incredible projects in bio-construction. A few days ago, we received the unfortunate news that Gisela's aunt, Patricia Cobo, died in Spain. This has been a very painful process for us, as she was a lovely woman who we always looked up to. In honor of her memory, we want to dedicate our journey to her, even though sometimes it requires great efforts to continue traveling. Patricia fought for her life until the end and we hope her tenacity will continue moving us forward to do our best to enjoy life. We know Patricia will always be keeping an eye on the map for us! Rest in peace dear aunt!! Thank you all for your continued support, especially now that we need it the most!!

Recientemente actualizamos la página web con nuestras experiencias en Chile, Perú y Ecuador. Estos tres países tienen mucho que explorar y nos regalaron un montón de momentos maravillosos. Es posible que disfrutes leyendo sobre nuestros días caminando en el Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, explorando el desierto más árido del mundo en Atacama, haciendo trabajo voluntario en una granja donde cosechamos uvas y aprendimos cómo hacer sidra o chicha de uva, visitando los sitios arqueológicos Peruanos, ofreciendote consejos sobre cómo visitar Machupicchu con un bajo presupuesto, las Islas Galápagos, y haciendo trabajo voluntario en una comunidad no muy lejos de Quito con proyectos increíbles en bio-construcción. Hace unos días, recibimos la lamentable noticia de que la tía de Gisela, Patricia Cobo, habia mu**to en España. Este ha sido un proceso muy doloroso para nosotros, ya que era una mujer encantadora a quien admiramos. En honor a su memoria, queremos dedicar nuestro viaje a ella, aunque requerimos un esfuerzo mas grande para continuar el viaje. Patricia luchó por su vida hasta el final y esperamos que su tenacidad continue moviéndonos a seguir disfrutando la vida. Sabemos que Patricia mantendra siempre sus ojo en el mapa por nosotros! Descansa en paz querida tía!! Gracias a todos por su continuo apoyo, sobre todo ahora que más lo necesitamos!!

In the name of our little brother, we have decided to fly to Chile on May 8, 2015 to continue our journey. Now more than before, the reality of losing a loved one reassures the personal commitment of pursuing our dreams. This post is dedicated in the loving memory of Manuel Fernando, who will always live deep inside our hearts. En el nombre de nuestro hermanito, hemos decidido volar a Chile el 8 de Mayo del 2015 para continuar nuestro viaje. Ahora más que nunca, el haber pérdido a un ser amado confirma el compromiso personal de alcanzar nuestros sueños. Day 854: We are still trying to catch up with our website and recently updated the gallery, journal, route, and fun facts with experiences in Netherlands, Belgium, Britain, and Ireland. We hope you fall in love with Amsterdam, Van Gogh, and Anne Frank like we did; get a taste of the waffles, beers, and fries of Belgium; enjoy our hike through the Hadrian's Wall, the northern border of the Roman Empire in Britain; be captivated by the infinite beauty of the Highlands of Scotland; learn about our days of WWOOFing amongst flowers in the South of Ireland; and feel fascinated with the kindness of the people of Ireland, the rainbows, the magic of their land, the struggles of their history, and without comparison or competition their delicious Guinness.

Dia 854: Seguimos tratando de ponernos al día con nuestra página web y recientemente actualizamos la galería, diario, ruta y datos divertidos con experiencias en Holanda, Bélgica, Gran Bretaña e Irlanda. We welcomed the winter solstice in the Sahara desert under the most beautiful starry night we have seen in our lives so far! We recently updated our website with photos and articles from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Poland. Day 780: We recently updated the gallery, journal, and fun facts sections in the website with our adventures in Greece, Italy, and Switzerland. We hope you enjoy the stories and pictures regarding our camping and travels in the Greek Islands, our daily addiction to gelato while visiting beautiful cities in Italy, and the joys of hiking and exploring the Swiss Alps. As Thanksgiving day is approaching, we want to express our deepest appreciation to all for your support, love, happiness, positive thoughts, emails, and comments for our extended honeymoon :)

Day 753: We finally updated the sections of route, gallery, fun facts, and journal of the website with articles and pictures from our experiences in Jordan, Israel/Palestine, and Turkey. Continuing an anniversary tradition we started last year, we wrote a special article: "Where are we sleeping tonight? Year 2." Our third year of travels is already rolling. A part of us still can't believe we have managed to last this long on the go and appreciate all the love, support, happiness, and encouragement you continue sending our way.

Dia 753: Finalmente actualizamos las secciones de Ruta, Galería, Datos Divertidos y Diario de la página web con artículos y fotografías de nuestras experiencias en Jordania, Israel / Palestina y Turquía. Continuando una tradición de aniversario que comenzamos el año pasado, escribimos un artículo especial: "¿A dónde vamos a dormir esta noche? Año 2." Nuestro tercer año de viaje ya está rodando. Day 671: We recently updated the route, gallery, journal, and fun facts section in our website with our experience in Sudan and Egypt, which terminates our African journey. We encourage you to read our articles to discover how amazing are the people in Sudan, as well as the pharaonic and underwater treasures of Egypt. Both countries were perfect destinations since they have a low level of tourism, you would be surprise with how wonderful they are.

Le animamos a leer nuestros artículos para que descubran lo increíble que son las personas en Sudán, así como los tesoros faraónicos y submarinos de Egipto. Ambos países fueron destinos perfectos, pues tienen un bajo nivel de turismo, se van a sorprender con lo maravillosos que son.

Day 620: We recently updated the route, fun facts, gallery, and journal in our website with experiences from Ethiopia. Ethiopia is simply unique. It is one of the only two African countries that remain independent and free from European Colonialism. Their culture and cuisine is preserved and exquisite. From hiking, site seeing ancient towns, eating, enjoying traditional dances, and feeding hyenas Ethiopia will always have a very special place in our hearts. We hope you enjoy it!

Dia 620: Actualizamos recientemente la ruta, datos divertidos, galería, y diario en nuestra página web con todas las experiencias de Etiopía. Etiopía es simplemente única. Es uno de los dos países africanos que permanecieron independientes y libres del colonialismo europeo. Su cultura y su culinaria es exquisite y preservada. Desde las caminatas que hicimos, las visitas a pueblos antiguos, la comida, las danzas tradicionales y la alimentacion de las hienas, Etiopía tendra siempre un lugar muy especial en nuestros corazones. Esperamos que lo disfruten!

Day 590: from Egypt! We recently updated the route, gallery, and journal sections of the website with our experiences in Kenya. Although we have tons of pictures and articles to share about Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt, our limited internet access has been booked with the planning of our upcoming months in Europe. We apologize for the delay and we look forward to catching you up soon ;)

Aunque tenemos un montón de fotografías y artículos por compartir sobre Etiopía, Sudán y Egipto, nuestro acceso limitado a Internet ha estado ocupado con la planificación de nuestros próximos meses en Europa.
