We would like to congratulate our longtime colleague and friend, Scott Becker on his retirement. Scott has led the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum for over 30 years through much growth making it the unique and exciting museum it is today. Thank you for your vision, hard work and partnership over the years. Enjoy your well earned retirement.

Pennsylvania Trolley Museum's Executive Director & CEO, Scott R. Becker, has announced his retirement after nearly 32 years of leadership.

Scott was hired on August 25, 1993 as the Museum's first Executive Director (and first employee) and oversaw its extensive expansion with the construction of a new Welcome & Education Center, exhibit and artifact preservation buildings, reconstruction of existing buildings, restoration of historic streetcars, and nearly doubling the length of the Museum’s trackage. Under Scott’s tenure, PTM has experienced dramatic growth in volunteerism and visitors over the past 32 years, attracting over 48,000 visitors in 2024, the most in its history. Over 200 volunteers and a paid staff of 14 now ensure that Museum visitors have an enjoyable and educational experience.

The Flight 93 National Memorial is only 90 mins from Pittsburgh making it a perfect stop on your Pa travels. Yesterday our FAM tour stopped on their way from Philly for a tour of this serene and thought provoking historic site.

The Pittsburgh post American Bus Association Marketplace FAM tour is off to a great start! After a day of travel and a tour of the Flight 93 National Memorial, the group spent an amazing evening in Pittsburgh's Cultural District. A delicious dinner at the beautiful Greer Cabaret Theater and Lounge followed by Kalin & Jinger in Real Magic Liberty Magic.

Counting down my top photos and moments of 2024!

This is a fairly recent photo as I just shot it a few weeks ago but it was definitely one of my favorites from my Light Up Night helicopter flight. As we made our last loop around the Oakland area I saw the top of the Cathedral lining up near Phipps and snapped this shot. I only had time to get this shot once as we were running out of time to get to Kennywood but luckily I got it in focus and sharp on the first try! Pretty hard to pull that off when flying in a helicopter at night. This was one of my top shared photos from this past year. Thank you guys as always for sharing my work!
