Face your Fears and do it-final.mp4
Hello everyone! Today, I want to talk about a big challenge I overcame – getting in front of the camera.
For many years, I have always been behind the camera.
As an editor, producer, and animator, I handled everything related to video post-production and production but stayed behind the scenes.
One day, I helped a client break through their fear of being on camera, and it hit me – I could help many more people feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
By guiding them out of their comfort zone, I could help them share their messages and stories on camera.
But then, I asked myself – how can I help others walk the walk if I do not talk the talk?
So, I knew I had to lead by example.
I had to step in front of the camera and share my message.
These video recordings are challenging for me, but they are becoming easier with practice.
Recording these videos allows me to connect better with people.
It also streamlines my content creation process because I can transcribe videos into posts.
My advice to you is to face one of your biggest challenges.
Whether it is recording videos, working out in public, or dancing at a club – just do it.
You live once. Facing and overcoming your fears makes you a stronger, more confident person.
Have you faced your fears today? Share your experience in the comments.
Action Plan:
‣ Identify a challenging task you’ve been avoiding.
‣ Break it down into smaller, manageable steps.
‣ Commit to taking the first step today.
Lesson: Overcoming fears builds confidence and personal growth.

🎥 Ready to boost your video content with genuine personality? Let us dive in!
Today, I want to talk to you about wasted effort.
When we invest time and energy into something, we expect great results, right?
Yet, many of us miss a crucial element when creating videos: showing our personality and confidence on camera.
I have seen countless individuals pour effort into their videos—adding music, graphics, visual effects, even green screens. Yet, they overlook something vital: being comfortable, confident, and genuinely themselves on camera.
If you have a unique personality—whether you make people laugh, have a big smile, or are a bit goofy—embrace it! Do not shy away from showing who you really are.
This authenticity creates a human connection, something people can relate to.
Potential clients or customers want to connect with someone who feels down to earth, approachable, and real. So, show your personality. Forget the fancy effects for now and focus on being genuine.
I am Deysen Ortiz, and for over 30 years, I have been helping people enhance their videos and video creation process. Have questions or need tips? Feel free to reach out!

About a year ago, I met Juan Odendal through LinkedIn. He was struggling to record videos due to his ADHD, so we worked together for a few hours to help him get more comfortable in front of the camera.
I am so happy to see that he is continuing to record videos on his own today.
Sometimes we just need a confidence boost and to discover our hidden potential to share our story. 🎥✨
If you are having trouble hitting record and recording your videos, please reach out to me – I would be happy to help you get started.
I am including a recent video from Juan, who is now recording videos on his own. I am very proud of the progress he has made! 🙂

Greetings to all Final Cut Pro Editors! 🙂👋
I have been working on crafting captions that I can fully customize for Final Cut Pro.
Experimenting with various tools, including some from GitHub.
However, I recently needed a quick solution for a project, so I decided to try out the "Caption Generator for Final Cut Pro" from the App Store. It was free and seemed to have what I needed.
After trying it out and being satisfied with the outcome, I started customizing the included Motion File that came with the App.
I added parameters for text animation sequence controls and adjusted it so that the text fits within the YouTube Reels title safe area, avoiding any interference with the YouTube icon, UI, or description.
I have also included a test of my customization below.
In the future, I plan to add more features like glow and background controls to make the text more prominent in lighter videos.
While I have not tested this workflow in Captionator yet, both tools appear similar, so I anticipate they work similarly with advanced customization using Apple Motion.
A helpful tip: you can adjust the size of individual words by selecting the word in the text box and scaling the text size in Final Cut Pro.
I welcome your feedback on this. Thank you and have a fantastic day ahead! 🙂
P.S. This video is a short from an interview with Tito Puente Jr. I helped edit. 🙂

Holly Crawshaw
One of the writers I admire on LinkedIn, Holly Crawshaw, has recently started sharing more videos.
To enhance her latest videos, I decided to surprise her by adding some extra flair to her video.
I downloaded the video using Taplio and then used auphonic.com to optimize the audio quality by reducing echo and improving clarity.
Auphonic has proven to be a top-notch tool with a wide range of features worth exploring.
Next, I utilized Affinity Designer to create an overlay and endslate for branding and a call to action.
Finally, I combined everything using Final Cut Pro and incorporated music from Artlist.io
A helpful tip for adding music beneath your voice is to adjust the EQ filter to lower frequencies that may clash with your voice, blend the voiceover and music, and apply a compressor to enhance the music during pauses.
Please let me know what you think. 🤔
Thank you and have an Incredible Day. 🙂

Hey everyone! 🙂
If you're looking for a way to get better control over your music mixing, EQ is the way to go.
Using an EQ, you can fine-tune the frequencies you want to bring down, depending on your voiceover.
So give it a try and see what works best for you!
