Dark M**o 2024 is Back On!

Dark M**o 2024 will take place between June 13th and 16th and June 20th and 23rd. While they originally planned to take a 2024 break to recalibrate and bring back an even bigger 2025 Dark M**o, they couldn't leave Tasmania without a Winter Feast, N**e Solstice Swim, or Winter at the Garden.

Dive into the heart of winter's embrace at Dark M**o 2024, Hobart’s captivating festival of lights, music, and mystery. As the nights grow longer, Hobart transforms into a canvas of artistic expression and ritual, bringing warmth and wonder to the chill of midwinter.

Experience the unique spectacle of the Winter Feast, where fire dances in the shadows and local flavours tantalize your senses. Witness the transformative power of art with installations that sprawl across cityscapes and into the dark waters of the harbour.

Have you heard of Stanley and The Nut?

Stanley is a romantic town sitting on a slender sliver of land jutting out into the Bass Strait on Tasmania's northwest coast. It is remarkable for its incredibly well-preserved colonial buildings and its massive volcanic plug which rises 150 metres out of the water and it dominates the small-town skyline. This heavy touristed town is perfect for a romantic getaway, but the name of the volcanic plug belies Stanley's quaintness. Called "The Nut," Stanley's cheeky geological feature is what visitors remember most.
