The only problem with hauling the boat out of the water is, you always find extra job's!
One of the job's was to replace the Shaft seal, as it was leaking a wee bit. Chris discovered it wasn't the seal leaking but the bronze tube the shaft goes out through the hull in was corroded.
So this meant cutting it out.
And this is what it looked like when it came out.
Only a short time before it could have completely failed, leaving a massive hole in the bottom of the boat

An uneventful and very pleasant sail down in the night. Starry night and a gentle ssw force 3 to 4. L’aberwrach entrance we found very easy despite all the doom predictions from people we met in Roscoff. Very impressed with the accuracy of passage weather forecasts. The weather window came exactly as predicted and it is now blowing 20-25kts. again, just as expected.
We will probably have to stay here a couple of days unless another window appears.
More tomorrow,
