Although I am happy to hear the government has noticed the overcrowding at some of the cenotes, I am also disappointed to read tour companies are the ones that will work with the government to regulate the overcrowding. The tour companies are the ones that are overselling their tours and filling busses full of people going from cenote to cenote. It is rare to see individuals visiting the cenotes because most are very difficult to find, and others are in village communities that contract with these tour companies. We will have to wait and see how this works. What are your thoughts on the situation?

More about Christina Cronin:

One of my fondest memories occurred in 2006 when I took my kids and their dad, Tony, my brother, and my parents to Disneyland. We were all enjoying the Grizzly River Run at Disney's California Adventure when at the end of the ride, Tony threw his hands up in the air and yelled: "Woohoo, I made it through the ride without getting wet." Sure enough, as soon as he said that a massive fountain of water shot up in the air and DRENCHED him and only him. It was hilarious, and the look on his face was priceless. To this day we talk about that piece of our Disney history whenever we go on rides like Grizzly River Run at Disneyland or Kali River Rapids at Disney World. I wish we had a camera at the time as it was a perfect Kodak moment. This moment, as well as many other memories, helped to kick start my desire to help families find their perfect Kodak moments.
