Beautiful place, people, drinks and delicious food! 5 stars!! As always we forgot to take pictures before we got excited and started eating.

One of the many things we learn to live with is power outages. This morning, most of PR is without public power.

So thankful for a colleague who turned me on to french press coffee this year, and our tea loving English guests for who i got a teapot. There IS coffee this morning, and that is all there is until the sun charges our solar panels!! Happy last day of 2024.

Just had the best brunch at a place near Sandy Hills called cold wave! Wait also had the pleasure of tasting homemade gelato and will definitely be back for more! We cannot find their location to check in and tag them so this is the best we can do! On Highway 3 Headed west from fajardo turn left into the plaza by KFC and then an immediate right and you'll see it on the left side.

Finquita Vista Alegre in Puerto Rico is a 2 to 4 hour flight from mast of the eastern US, and has openings now through mid January in our King Suite, mountain views for 8 miles of the ocean, 10 minutes to the first of many beaches and tons of marinas. It's getting cold over there but it's 75 to 85 here! What are you waiting for??

With just a short drive from Finquita Vista Alegre you can park at Playa Los machos and walk through the park and down the bailanario, quickly through a mangrove and arrive here! Today I was surprised that the ocean had taken away all of the seaweed which often sits here and it was glorious! Try it out for your morning walk when you stay with us!

Put some new meaning to chicken dinner, be careful when you're eating here!

Our Story....

After falling in love with and visiting Puerto Rico for many years, a dream come true finally happened with with the purchase of this home in 2018. It was in great condition, but needed a little TLC and personal touches. Now that its beginning to feel like home, we welcome guests when we have availability, are travelling, or aren’t using a portion of the home. We hope that you love the space as much as we do. Its a great place to get away from it all, without going too far. Not in a tourist area or really set up to cater to tourist life, here you’ll get a taste of what it might be like to actually live in Puerto Rico. So abandon your daily expectations of wherever you may call home, and come join us for simple living, mild weather, ocean breezes, a nightly coqui symphony, regular visits from lizards, pigs, horses, and other wild things and being surrounded by nature. You’ll find fresh fruit when its in season, and can expect that we’ll continue to improve the property over time. We’ve just gotten started! Welcome!
