In 2022 I’m going to get interested people together and sail from the Baltic sea to the Mediterranean as a big fleet.

I am going to buy a new sailboat this year, prepare it and start a new journey around Europe approximately at the end of June, 2022.

There’s a chance we’ll get to the Kiel Week (it’s a huge sailboat festival) or maybe we’ll separate these events because all the marinas are busy during the festival while we will need enough berths.

It will be an interesting route, the English Channel, Bay of Biscay and Gibraltar. No canals, only the sea and the most interesting regions (both from navigational and the cities aspects).

Most likely we will start the journey from Kiel, it’s the most convenient place. The final destination is Tunisia but you can go to some european cities in the Mediterranean or, for example, to Turkey.

The journey will take about 70-80 calendar days or about 25-30 sailing days.

Most likely we’ll be sailing for 24-48 hours and relaxing for 24-72 hours after that. In my opinion it’s the most efficient rhythm. Rarely we will have 72-100 hours passages.

The weather will be the most suitable for us in June, July and August — it will be good both for navigation and our comfort (warm enough).

This journey can become a very epic event, I hope we’ll gather at least 30 sailboats, maybe even 50 or 100 :)

A journey as a part of the fleet is safe because there will be different specialists among us (starting from doctors, engineers, professional sailors and ending with the videographers, journalists, etc.).

You’ll be able to participate as a captain and the owner of the sailboat or as a crew. We’ll have a special site where the captain and the crew can find each other.

During this journey we’ll become a big community, you’ll find new friends, this will be a life-long memory!

Keep in mind that it’s better to start preparing right now, that's why I am recording the course “A small sailboat captain” at the moment, besides, you can participate in a sailboat draw!
