STEAM Labs is offering in-person Spanish classes for TK-5 grade students in Ridgecrest!

Weekly 45 minute classes will consist of Spanish songs/simple interactive activities, read-aloud books, and an arts & craft.

Students must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Younger siblings are welcome to come along and play with toys in the lounge area. Only registered students can participate in the class.

We are an approved Heartland Charter School vendor

STEAM Labs is offering in-person Social-Emotional Learning classes for TK-3 grade students in Ridgecrest!

Weekly 45 minute classes will consist of short lessons, read-aloud books, and simple interactive activities that build skills in key areas.

Students will learn about social skills, emotional intelligence, self-regulation, following instructions, citizenship, good character, and skills for success.

Class fee: $50/month

STEAM Labs is offering in-person History classes for 2nd-8th grade students in Ridgecrest!

We make History fun and engaging for kids with hands-on activities that lead to effective learning.

We will be focusing on American History during the 24-25 school year.
Class will be held once a month for 2 hours and include interactive lessons and hands-on activities related to a theme or time period in American History, such as creating your own pottery and building a wooden covered wagon.

Class fee: $50/month

Students must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Younger siblings are welcome to come along and play with toys in the lounge area. Only registered students can participate in the class.

Too hot to play outside? Spend your summer at STEAM Labs in Ridgecrest CA. With so many different educational activities and resources available, there is something to peak the interest of every child. Kids can learn all about different insects, make a robotic hand, excavate dinosaur bones, see live quail chicks, participate in STEM challenges, art projects and more! You can sign up for a single class, or buy an all-access pass to attend classes and open exploration hours all summer long!

REGISTRATION FOR FALL SEMESTER IS NOW OPEN

STEAM Labs is offering in-person science classes for elementary aged students in Ridgecrest!
We make science fun and engaging for kids with hands-on activities and experiments that lead to effective learning.
Our comprehensive curriculum covers all of the California state standards/I can statements for science for grades TK-5 over the course of 1 school year.
Parents can delegate a core subject and leave all the planning, teaching, and clean up to us. Syllabus and work samples will be provided for parent use.
Students must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Younger siblings are welcome to come along and play with toys in the lounge area.

Fall Semester Dates: 9/12/23 - 1/16/24 on Tuesdays at 10am or 3pm (15 weeks)

Learn about dinosaurs, ocean creatures, the summer sunshine, and bubbles & balloons with fun hands-on science experiments and activities. Choose between morning and afternoon class times. Three brightest objects in the night sky will get together early on Feb. 22 and you can watch it live via the Virtual Telescope Project.

It could be a late night, but if you stay up late tonight you should be able to see the launch of Artemis I, our first big step in getting humanity back to the Moon!

Artemis I will be the first in a series of increasingly complex missions to build a sustained human presence at the Moon for decades to come.

The moon will be in conjunction with the solar system's largest planet, the gas giant Jupiter on Friday.

STEAM Labs is hiring!

We are looking for people passionate about science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) to lead clubs and classes for groups of children (grades preK -12) part-time. Starting pay is $18/hr + 5% of class/club fees.

What we are looking for:

• A depth of knowledge in one or more STEAM areas (no degree required). For example, art/drawing OR Arduino OR math (especially algebra and above), etc. We can tailor the class/club around your interests and skills if it is something our members will get excited about. Your experience can be from official training (such as classes) or from a hobby you're passionate about.

• Able to connect with and manage small groups of children. Some experience teaching or leading groups is preferred. In most cases parents will still be on site so you won't be expected to do this alone.

• Able to exemplify a passion for discovery and learning of new things, and inspire this in children.

• Able to create and follow a class/club plan grounded in project-based learning.

• Must pass background check

This is a part-time position with a negotiable schedule. It is possible to teach one or more classes/clubs each week. Overall we want the bulk of classes available during the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
