A Danish historical drama “The Promised Land” ( 🇱🇹 “Pažadėtoji Žemė” 🇩🇰 “Bastarden”) featuring Mads Mikkelsen is in Lithuanian cinemas this January.
A gripping story, directed by Nikolaj Arcel, brings viewers to 18th century Denmark, where Captain Ludvig Kahlen sets out to conquer the harsh, rugged and wild Jutland heath. A historical epic, referred by some as a European Western, is the latest Danish nomination to the Academy Awards and the Venice’s Golden Lions.

Scandinavian Days in Kaunas 2023 📣

Scandinavian Days became an annual event that celebrates close cooperation between the Nordics and Lithuania. From 24 to 30 of April, the Nordic embassies are going to present various exhibitions, activities and forums.

The Danish contribution is the exhibition "Green Together" which will be officially opened on 25 April, 10:00 in Prezidento Valdo Adamkaus biblioteka-muziejus. Please come and join us! 🤩 🇩🇰

The exhibition reflects Denmark's green initiatives and solutions that help business enterprises and state institutions to counter emerging challenges. It will run for one month until 25 May, during working hours of the library-museum or by appointment 🌍

Also at the exhibition opening, we invite you to experience the Danish bicycle culture firsthand on a virtual bike ride around Copenhagen. The VR films will take you around the city, showing examples of bicycle infrastructures and giving you a sense of what it is like to live in a livable city 🚴‍♂️
