As the cooler weather settles in, November is the perfect time to explore Eastern Oregon's low-elevation hikes and trails! 🥾🍂

Here are some great options to enjoy the stunning fall foliage without the chill of high altitudes:

Columbia River Heritage Trail: Located along the Columbia River, this 12-mile, non-motorized trail connects the communities of Irrigon and Boardman. It’s an ideal spot for hiking, biking, jogging, and nature study, with interpretive signs and stunning autumn colors to enjoy.

Pendleton River Parkway: This easy trail follows the Umatilla River through Pendleton, offering beautiful views and opportunities for wildlife sightings. It’s a relaxing way to experience the natural beauty of this vibrant community.

Leo Adler Memorial Parkway: Just steps from historic downtown Baker City, this scenic pathway winds along the Powder River. With well-maintained paths, inviting picnic areas, and a peaceful riverside atmosphere, it’s perfect for walking, running, or biking.

Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a scenic stroll, these trails offer the perfect way to enjoy the great outdoors this November.

Which trail are you excited to explore? 🍁

One of our favorite ways to take in the changing landscapes of Eastern Oregon in early fall? By Train! 🚆

The Eagle Cap Excursion Train runs on a roadless stretch of track between Elgin and Minam in Northeast Oregon. Along the way, take in the spectacular scenic landscape as it follows the Grande Ronde River down stream, then turns up the Wild & Scenic Wallowa River.
