This certified woman-owned small business was founded by an experienced tour guide and product development director for a major sightseeing company in Chicago, Hillary Marzec. Given the freedom to research and construct her own tours, she used her experience as a teacher,

writer, improv comedian, and tour guide to create tours that tell the story of Chicago in an engaging, educational, and always entertaining way. These tours combine architecture, history, and storytelling in one powerful experience of the city that no other tour company can match. Tours average 2 hours and run rain or shine. After liking so many of their posts, I finally visited Urban Remains' brick-and-mortar location over the weekend -- what a cool place! I highly recommend visiting it if you're in Chicago and love Chicago architecture history -- especially Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright. I was in architecture nerd heaven!
