BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend UK 2020 will take place over Friday 22 to Sunday 24 May as planned with over 100 artists performing live sets remotely.

Fans will be able to attend the festival from the comfort of their own homes by tuning in to Radio 1 across the weekend, with full sets available on BBC Sounds. 🙌🏼

Stables is regarded as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary folk and critically lauded for her rich vocals and instrumentals combining arrangements of banjo with gentle percussion, brass and guitar to form dreamy psychedelic melodies. 💙

Why not try pressing some flowers? It’s fun, easy and you can get some awesome results! 💙 Freshness is the key. Choose flowers that are either still in bud form, or that are freshly bloomed. If you’re picking them from a garden, do so in the morning right after the dew has evaporated. Once you have chosen the flowers you would like to press, they need to be prepped. If you can’t press them right away, place them in a ziplock bag and store them in the refrigerator. A three-day virtual music festival takes place TODAY, April 24th, through to Sunday, April 26th, streaming noon to midnight ET each day via PlayOnFest.com and the Songkick YouTube channel.
The lineup for the event includes over 65 acts, including Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Panic! at the Disco, Cardi B, Green Day, Coldplay, the Flaming Lips, Korn, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Roddy Ricch, Lil U*i Vert, Paramore, Death Cab for Cutie, Twenty One Pilots, Weezer, David Guetta, Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa.
The festival will feature footage of artists performing at iconic music venues, including Bruno Mars at the Apollo, the Flaming Lips at the Sydney Opera House and Korn at an art installation. LL Cool J will kick off the event, and a special segment will pay tribute to the late rapper Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap album release show. 💙🙏

To make a paper snowflake, you need two essential craft supplies: paper and a pair of scissors. When choosing paper, remember: lightweight paper—wrapping paper, tissue paper, or crepe paper—is lighter and easy to cut but more fragile for decorating. Medium to heavy weight paper—butcher paper, card stock, or text-weight poster paper—is harder to cut but is more sturdy for decorating! Here’s how to make a felt cover to pretty up a cafetiere and keep the coffee hot for a second cup. It’s a suitable beginner’s needle felting project. Not only that, it's a good use for a sweater that has reached the end of its life.
