Travel to Egypt:

Egypt stands as a memorable voyage destination, its complicated yet captivating country with some of the most lasting historical monuments on the planet. This nation remains proud, friendly and always available. And with treasures as eternal as the temples and pyramids of the Nile to shout about all day long, it’s not somewhere that’s going to fall from public awareness any time soon. A trip there still has the potential to thrill and excite any travel lover and adventure seeker.

The majority of the country’s ancient treasures were built in the time of the pharaohs. The Pyramids of Giza; the Karnak temple; the Valley of the Kings; Aswan and the temples of Abu Simbel, these monuments have drawn visitors from all over the world for centuries. They represent a legacy of one of the most fabled periods of human history.

Egypt is best understood not only for its great monuments - which are marvelous- but through its nation. Taking tea and falling into long conversation with a local, bartering for a good deal in Cairo’s ancient Khan al-Khalili bazaar, or just stopping awhile in a far-off village, will give you a glance of the country’s full of spirit, taste and resilience.

Packing and Luggage:Rule number one of packing is to pack light. Bring only the essential items and get the rest at you...

Packing and Luggage:

Rule number one of packing is to pack light. Bring only the essential items and get the rest at your destination.

Rule number two of packing is gentlemen don’t use roll luggage. Just carry your bag and her's!

The men I see who carry their bags are more comfortable in the airport and on board, usually dress better, and have better baggage in general. If a man buys luggage that’s designed to be rolled then of course he should roll it, but I prefer not to buy roller luggage in the first place.

Packing:

1. Pack dress shirts in packs. Pile them on top of each other with arms spread. Fold the bottom half of the heap under the top half. Cross one set of sleeves across the other. Place on top of other items in your baggage. Upon arrival remove and hang quickly.
2. Fold and store sweaters the length of your luggage.
3. Pack your lightest shoes at the bottom of your suitcase and wear your heaviest.
4. Store gadgets in one place maybe in an old dopp kit to keep them safe.
5. Wrap anything you don’t want to crinkle in dry cleaning plastic.

Luggage:

1. Make sure your carry-on luggage is of the best quality you can afford.
2. If you’re looking for something durable look for synthetic materials like nylon and polyester. Both are light and flexible and will keep your trip comfortable.
3. If you want brawny and tough luggage go with Vulcanized fiber, poly-carbonate, or aluminum. These materials provide both style and function. Since they are made from the tough materials, be prepared to make a smart investment.
4. And if you’re looking for style and complexity you can go forward into animal skin and design.

10 Tips On How To Travel With Style:

There’s something special about traveling. It doesn’t matter if you are heading to New York for business or Paris for pleasure; nothing refines a man better than experiencing another culture.

Take Italy for example. When you’re sitting in a quiet cafe’ in Piazzi San Marco you can’t help but feel sophisticated. All the regular tourists are busy fumbling with their cameras, but not you. You are enjoying life.

Make sure you are ready for the occasion. Nothing worse than looking like a ‘sloppy’ tourist. Trust me you’ll stand out like a sore thumb.

Here’s 10 tips to keep you looking your best the next time you hit the skies…

Tip #1: Dress Sharp on Purpose
Bottom line, dress to impress you’ll never know who will be watching. The advantage will always be on your side when traveling as a well-dressed man, this will help in the times when you need them to hold the gate. Plus, if you’re traveling alone it’ll be easier to strike up a conversation if you look successful.

Tip #2: Wear a Good Watch
Put on a choice watch. A watch is basic in each man’s armoire — more so of a traveling man who is quite aware of the burden he encounters by not having a multi-functional with a multi-time zone watch.
You can always do the things comfortably move around with ease by having a multi-functional watch. The watch may not be expensive, perhaps within the hundred dollar range. But if one could afford expensive ones it would be quite better.

Tip #3: Less Is Warm
Plan ahead and dress in layers. Leave the thick parka at home and go for a nice vest. A dash of wild color will put some excitement to a drab outfit.

Tip #4: Create the Ultimate Carry-On
On those quick weekend flights from France to Italy or a wild night in Amsterdam, you’ll want to stick to the overhead bag requirements. Pack your wardrobe and necessities in a travel bag that will not pose a burden in your travel (I’d consider something with wheels, or heavy straps). One that will hold about 14 lbs. Remember only pack what you’ll need for a day or two.

Tip #5: Airport Etiquette
Airlines do have properties and rules particularly while traveling several thousand feet above. Follow these rules and take pleasure in your travel.

1. Whoever got to the arm rest first gets it. With the exception of elders, kids, and women (if you ever expect to drum up conversation).
2. If the screaming kid next to you won’t shut up politely ask the parents to silence him (or just wear the earplugs below).
3. If you drink keep it to one cocktail.
4. Store your carry on with the handle towards the aisle. This will save you headache when de-boarding.

Tip #6: Wear Good-fitting Shoes
Pay close attention to your feet as it is of foremost need. Put on a pair of easy-to-wear and comfortable shoes as it is quite difficult traveling with sore feet. I also recommend keeping a pair of socks in your carryon bag for those long overseas flights.

Tip #7: Build a Dopp Kit
Always look vivid and refreshed to the eyes of everyone. Keep in handy a toilet bag with a complete set of toiletries inside it.

Tip #8: Pack a pair of Jeans and/or Chinos
Keep a few days open for going stylish and casual. Chinos or jeans are perfect, plus they keep your legs warm. Hint: leave the athletic suits and outfits at home they’re a big no-no.

Tip #9: Stow Away a Jacket/Blazer
When traveling with a business agenda or smarter schedule, a blazer is a must-wear. The short haul essential raises the sartorial bar and saves the jacket from the perils of a suitcase. The extra layer is great for the chill of the aircraft cabin and the pockets come in incredibly handy for storing wallets, passports, tickets, phones etc.

Tip #10: Bring A Button Down
A voguish button-down or a dress shirt is more preferable than t-shirts. It gets similar space with t-shirts however button-downs are more fashionable and you can wear them in country sides or on ordinary city walks with shorts, long pants and sneakers-whatever. Just be sure the shirts you take are made of thin fabric.
My advice is to take along more than one shirt and some that are wildly colored and some with stylish designs

Travel Personalities:

ADVENTUROUS TRAVELERS
If you imagine yourself bungee jumping in New Zealand, running with the bulls in Pamplona, dancing until 6 in the morning in Berlin, heli-skiing from the top of a mountain in Banff or boating down the Amazon, all signs point to you being an adventure traveler.
Of course, you don’t need to be a part of a tour to have an adventure, but if you’re not sure what adventure travel means or if you just want an idea of what kind of companies operate tours and which ones to use, it’s a great place to start.

Recommended destinations for adventure travelers: New Zealand, Brazil, Bolivia, Nepal/Tibet, Tanzania, India, and Egypt.

ROMANTIC TRAVELERS
If your travel dreams are populated by the perfect sunset on a secluded beach in the Seychelles, gondola rides in Venice, and a honeymoon for the storybooks, this is probably you.
Travel can be an amazing way to connect with your partner, or even meet someone new! The notion of taking off to far-flung places is a romantic idea in itself, so grab your partner, your passports, and get out and see the world.

Recommended spots for romantic travelers: Santorini, Venice, Paris, Buenos Aires, Goa, Bali, Phuket, Fiji, Tahiti.

INTELLECTUAL TRAVELERS
If travel is just another way you broaden your internal encyclopedia with art, culture, and history, and your dream itinerary includes days filled with museums, archeological sites, groundbreaking architecture and traditional experiences, you may be an intellectual traveler.
Lucky for you, destinations all over the world cater to the student inside of all of us. The world’s full of lessons, and travel is the way to learn them.
Recommended regions for intellectual travelers: Europe, India, Japan, Machu Picchu, Istanbul, Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan.

FIRST-TIME TRAVELERS
Will this be your first time traveling internationally? A little nervous about flying overseas? Concerned that you don’t know what you don’t know?
Those are all normal concerns for first-timers. Don’t worry. There are lots of places that’ll present much less of a cultural shock where you can ease yourself into the world at large. You’ll be a pro before you know it.

Recommended stops for first-time travelers: London, Paris, Rome, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand.

DANGER JUNKIES
If you prefer to live on the edge and explore destinations widely considered off-the-beaten-path or even unsafe, you’re probably a danger ju**ie at heart. Your ideal trip includes Ghana, possible brushes with the FARC in Colombia, or meeting some Maoist rebels in Nepal. Robert Pelton is your personal idol.
You’re a risk taker and enjoy finding destinations that give you the thrills you desire. Of course, we caution our travelers to read US State department warnings, as well as the warnings posted by other nations (that said, many warnings can be colored by political agendas).

Recommended locales for danger ju**ies: Tibet, Colombia, Uganda, Papua New Guinea

ALL, A COMBINATION, OR NONE OF THE ABOVE
Most people want to include elements of every different type of travel in their around the world experience, and we certainly encourage you to do so, too. The best way to prepare for an extended journey is to be completely honest with yourself about what you want to accomplish with your RTW trip and how you want to experience the world. The truth is that most travelers don’t fit neatly into one travel personality type. Still, it’s important to think about what kind of activities and attractions appeal to your personality, not just what cities you want to visit or on what airlines you’ll be flying. Another way to narrow down the endless possibilities while making complex travel plans is to identify how you like to travel, i.e., your travel style.
