This past weekend, the Brothers of Texas Xi had the opportunity to help with yard work for one of our ALS families. Special shoutout to for setting up this event!
ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness and eventually paralysis. There is no cure for ALS, and it can be emotionally and financially challenging for affected families.
Phi Delta Theta, a fraternity with a strong tradition of philanthropy and community service, often supports families dealing with ALS through various initiatives. They raise funds for ALS research and provide assistance to families affected by the disease, offering financial and emotional support. This philanthropic effort helps enhance the quality of life for those battling ALS and contributes to finding a cure for this devastating condition.
