Lorie understand the importance of supporting and improving agility and dog sports in our expansive, but close-knit agility community of Northern California. Lorie Abbott has been involved with the organization and secretary work of agility trials since the inception of AKC agility. Local and non-local agility enthusiasts have benefited from Lorie’s “hands-on” approach to grow local agility throug
h locating and obtaining new venues for trials and improve the overall trial experience for agility competitors and their dogs. Most recently Lorie has secured Cabernet Indoor Sports, a state-of-the-art turf surfaced indoor arena in Livermore, CA. Lorie has gained respect and recognition in the local agility community by advising, guiding and providing the equipment and software needed so that Cubs to hold the Sanction A match required by AKC before holding licensed events. Over the past 15 years ABBA Dogs business has expanded to approximately 75 days per year agility trials in the California Bay area, Northern and Central California. ABBA Dogs also event secretaries for a combined number of approximately 10 days per year herding/obedience/rally events. Lorie Abbott knows how to make her trials fun for participants and dogs alike. There is usually some kind of game or theme at her trials that remind is why we love this sport so much. Lorie also knows the importance of giving-back through donations and benefits. ABBA Dogs is registered with the State of California as a fictitious name and with the City of Livermore as a business. The company is bonded and insured, has a separate checking account and has passed the IRS audit as a legitimate business.
