This is a major milestone for US Craft Distillers, and specifically for our Montana Distillers Guild members who produce exceptional American Single Malt whiskeys using Montana-grown grains right here in our beautiful state. The TTB's final ruling recognizing American Single Malt Whiskey as a distinct category is a significant achievement for the industry.

This new standard provides a crucial platform for American craft distillers to differentiate themselves in the competitive spirits market. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the American Craft Spirits Association, its members, and the dedicated work of the American Single Malt Whiskey Commission and its allies, the TTB has officially acknowledged the unique character of single malt whiskeys produced by our nation's small, independent distillers. This landmark ruling goes into effect on January 19th, 2025.

Today is the day! Come join us at the Kimpton downtown Bozeman to try spirits and signature cocktails from 13 distilleries across the state. Tickets are still available online and can be purchased at the door. The VIP hour starts at 3pm and includes 8 drink tickets, a souvenir glass and a whiskey discussion from a few of our distillers. The general admission starts at 4pm and includes 6 drink tickets and a souvenir glass. The whole event goes until 6pm. There will be food served by the Kimpton. Make sure to wear your blue and gold and or maroon and silver and don't forget to bring in a canned food item for your chance to win some great gear from one of your local distilleries.

Spotted Bear Spirits is one of the 13 distilleries that will be joining us at the Distillers Festival TOMORROW at the Kimpton Armory Hotel downtown Bozeman!
Spotted Bear Spirits is located in Whitefish. They draw inspiration from the rugged landscapes that Montana has to offer, and this can be seen through their spirit making. They use organic and local ingredients in their spirits and in the cocktails whenever possible. Make sure to swing in their tasting room or grab a bottle of their spirits from one of your favorite Montana State Liquor stores!

Westslope Distillery is located down the Bitterroot in Hamilton. They are a community-oriented distillery expressing the Montana experience through small batch distilled spirits and craft cocktails. Gulch Distillers is one of the 13 distilleries that will be joining us on Saturday at the Kimpton Armory Hotel for the Distillers Fest! They are located in the historic gulch on the north end of Helena. Their Fernet is known nationally and definitely worth a try! Make sure to swing into their tasting room or grab a bottle of one of their signature spirits at your local Montana State Liquor Store.

Willie's Distillery, Inc. is located in the heart of downtown Ennis and is veteran owned and operated. Willie's is also one of the oldest distilleries in Montana post prohibition. They craft a verity of vodkas, flavored vodka, whiskies and liqueurs all trying to capture the Spirit of the American West.

On this Veteran's Day we thank Willie (Willie’s Distillery) and Jake (Lakeside Distillery) and their crews that have served and or continue to serve. Thank you for protecting our freedoms, our homes, our families and our country. Today we cheer's a glass of whiskey to you!

Wildrye Distilling is located in the Cannery District on the north side of Bozeman. Their family farm located in Southwest Montana inspired them to create a bourbon out of Sweet Corn, and they have done just that with their Five Drops Bourbon. Looking at Montana's resources has led them to create other spirits using, rye, huckleberries, cherries and juniper. Make sure to swing into their distillery and tasting room to try one of their signature spirits or grab your favorite bottle at a Montana State Liquor Store.

Wildrye is another distillery that will be joining us at the Montana Distillers Fall Festival this Saturday, November 16th at the Armory downtown Bozeman. If you haven't purchased your tickets yet, please do so!

Montgomery Distillery is another one of our family farm to bottle distilleries. Their family farm is located just outside of Lewistown where they raise wheat and rye. Montgomery distillery is located downtown Missoula and is known for their specialty crafted whiskies, Quick Silver Vodka and White Laydie Gin.

undammedspirits is located in Billings and creates craft spirits inspired by the legacy of the water that surrounds the Yellowstone River and Montana’s landscapes. Naming each spirit after the streams in the Yellowstone watershed and giving a portion of their sales back to the conservation of the majestic river. They have recently moved to a new location, make sure you check out their new space on North 11 Street in Billings or grab a bottle from one of the local Montana State Liquor Stores!

Dry Hills Distillery is another local distillery that will be joining us at the Armory on Saturday, November 16th downtown Bozeman.

Dry Hills Distillery is a 6th generation family farm to bottle distillery with roots dating back to 1905 in the Gallatin Valley. The family raises the select grains and signature potatoes that make up their spirits including their 100% potato vodka known as Hollowtop Vodka. Swing into their tasting room to try one of their signature drinks and or sample their verity of whiskies in Four Corners or grab one of your favorite bottles at a Montana State Liquor Store.

Whistling Andy Distilling is another one of the 13 Distilleries that is coming to our Montana Distillers Fall Festival that is going to be held at the Armory in Bozeman on Saturday, November 16th.
Whistling Andy is located in Bigfork and specializes in using locally scoured grains, cherries and botanicals. They are also one of the oldest operational distilleries in Montana post prohibition. Make sure to check out the fun events that are held at the distillery and or grab a bottle of their specialty crafted whiskies like their Straight Bourbon Whiskey at your favorite Montana State Liquor Store.

Lakeside Distillery is located in the charming downtown of Townsend. They have a vodka, gin and specialty crafted whiskies. There is a good chance that when you visit their distillery and tasting room that you will be greeted by their furry whiskey protector 😉
