FIT4MOM Philadelphia is the city’s premiere fitness program for moms, offering pre- and post-natal exercise classes and support for every stage of motherhood. With classes such as Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Fit4Baby, FIT4MOM Philadelphia provides a fun, rewarding, and effective fitness program that will give you strength for motherhood! Our programs include:
•Stroller Strides: This 60
-minute, stroller-based workout includes power walking/running along with intervals of strength training and toning using exercise tubing, the stroller, and the environment. Songs and activities are weaved into the class in order to entertain and engage children while moms enjoy a challenging workout.
•Stroller Barre: This 60-minute, stroller-based workout incorporates a unique blend of ballet, Pilates, barre, and yoga. This class focuses on strengthening and creating an ideal length/tension relationship in all the postural muscles, yielding amazing results and creating a taller and leaner-looking mommy!
•Fit4Baby: This 60-minute class is designed to safely and appropriately strengthen the body for all the changes it will experience during pregnancy. Classes are interval based, combining elements of strength training and cardiovascular exercise, along with stretching and balancing exercises.
•Our Village-FIT4MOM Philadelphia: As moms ourselves, we understand that life is about finding balance and nurturing our minds and spirits as well as our bodies. By joining Our Village-FIT4MOM Philadelphia, you will enjoy fun and playful activities with your child while benefitting from a tight community of like-minded moms to share advice, support, and laughter. We know you want to preserve your liquid gold, Mama, so we’re here to untangle facts from fiction!
A 2020 study found that “”exercise during breastfeeding does not significantly change breastmilk fat, protein, lactose, or quantity. Breastfeeding mothers should be encouraged to exercise.”” In fact, according to the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, “”pregnant or postpartum women should do at least 150 minutes (for example, 30 minutes a day, five days a week) of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity per week, such as brisk walking, during and after their pregnancy.
Things such as consuming too few calories or becoming dehydrated *can* cause a decrease in production. A few tips? Keep healthy snacks handy, drink plenty of water throughout the day, consider nursing or pumping prior to working out, and invest in a good, supportive sports bra!

Gabrielle Bosnic is a certified yoga teacher and owner of Serene Moms, an online yoga studio made for busy moms. Prior to receiving her yoga certification, Gabrielle trained and performed as a classical ballet dancer under the direction of Joseph Albano and Julia Frederick. Gabrielle is a toddler mom and loves exploring mindful ways to stay active throughout her motherhood journey. Her online yoga studio, Serene Moms, offers a variety of mindfulness and movement offerings designed to support the motherhood experience.
Examples include a monthly yoga studio subscription with full access to an on-demand class library, live private yoga sessions, and a self-paced online yoga and mindfulness course. Gabrielle is so excited to get to know the community!

TGIF! Form Friday that is! 💪 When approaching burpees postpartum, these are some of our favorite tips. 1️⃣ Start with a modified burpee, isolating the bottom “half” of the move, with a focus on coming to the top of a squat with a ‘proud’ chest, rolling those shoulders away from your ears. 2️⃣ Step in and out, as opposed to jumping, to reduce the impact on your pelvic floor. 3️⃣ Add elevation (we love that most of our classes are outside for easy bench access!) when you can to reduce the intraabdominal pressure to manage. Same goes for rebuilding plank and push-up form! It makes us so happy as coaches when we see our mamas taking the modifications they need in classes and listening to their bodies and respecting where they’re at in their own postpartum recoveries. We’re all in this postpartum boat together, whether you’re six months out or six years out. You got this mama! 👏 Be sure to catch the burpee queen @klrupich coaching her next class this Tuesday morning virtually at 6:30AM with the loyal morning crew! 💪
